[D6 EM, Murato's room] Investigations to be done

Investigating some markings on the furniture, the Kitsu replied

"I like to think it's going well - I'm scoring highly, so I should have a decent choice. Go yesterday was not fun, but you know my opinions on Go."

"I'd rather watch a pile of go boards burn to the sound of thousand Akodo students weeping than sit through another tournament back home," he agrees with a nod. "But yes, you are doing quite well. But I can see how you've done in the events the Deer have set up. I can't necessarily see how you've been faring with any of the ladies you may be interested in quite so clearly."

"Because I don't truly know myself, Kitsu-san."

The Lion replied with a sigh.

"Sure, we chat, we flirt, we smile, but at the end of the day we go back like nothing's happened. I don't inquire about their love lives because at the end of the day, I'm busy making them my world for the day. And I wonder: Am I doing this right? Am I being worthless? I'm following in the footsteps of those I've passed but most of the time I dunno if I've truly... felt anything. At least, I've not been sure if it's love or simply fulfilment as I'm almost still treating this like a mission."

There might have been one person he wasn't mentioning. Just one.

Murato moves to Moshumaru. "I think you are talking to a kindred spirit in that sense and you know it," he says with a somewhat sad grin. "It's certainly not the easy event pillow books would have us believe."

He put a hand on Moshumaru's shoulder, apparently much less sour than he had been and not off put by the idea of a touch this morning.

Moshu sighed, accepting the shoulder.

"I can't help but wonder if anyone else is as uncertain and terrified as we are, or if it's just an 'us' phenomenon."

"Cousin... all I can do is hope that we feel this way so others don't have to," he said, quirking the corner of his mouth. "I can't imagine that the Deer are not aware of people ending up with these kinds of feelings during their events. Maybe they have some sort of stress relief planned or simply know that it will all work out in the end," he says. "Just gotta have faith in them."

Realizing what's just happened, Moshu returned the favour.

"Speaking of our hosts, I have some more info on the Lion-Crane war to convince them to stay out of it. Next time you see them, pass on the following..."

Nodding to his cousin. "I am glad that things seem to be going well with that," he says with a nod, moving around the room to start picking up various accoutrements and things he'd want throughout the day. "I've got a dinner this evening and some shogi. Gladly no tournament, so I can just take my time and talk. Any plans for you?"

"I have plans to go hunting today, tea with Matsu-san and dinner later on. In that regard, I think we're doing pretty well."

He nods at that. "I'm glad to her it. Let me know if I might be able to provide any help?"
