[Kitsuki Hajime]

Hajime smiled. He was starting to like Inoshishi. "Excellent! Now, who is this Scorpion you had lunch with?"

[Agasha Inoshishi]

Kicking her feet as she perches in what is clearly supposed to be furniture, she purses her lips prettily in thought.

“Breakfast, actually. And his name was…Mushu? Morito. Hikomi? No, I remember, Mitsu! Bayushi Mitsu.

[Kitsuki Hajime]

Hajime pauses for a moment, thinking that Inoshishi meant to go on. "...No opinions formed on Bayushi Mitsu, then?"

[Agasha Inoshishi]

“Huh? Oh, no, no opinions formed. But he seemed okay for someone that seemed more interested in poking the scarred Crane than talking about fireworks. I mean, honestly, who doesn’t love fireworks? They’re the best. Them and mushrooms.”

[Kitsuki Edogawa]

Edogawa was simply listening, chewing another mushroom.

[Kitsuki Hajime]

Hajime nodded slowly. "Quite. Well, I shall do my utmost to stay in touch with each of you in the coming days. If things are true to form, the fast candidates will begin pairing off fairly quickly, so please keep an eye out for sudden changes in wardrobe and curious declarations. It doesn't do much good to waste one's time with someone who's already been hooked elsewhere, even though I am sure that some would be happy to play along."

[Agasha Inoshishi]

“Wow, you’re really serious about this, aren’t you? I hope I’ll find my True Romance here. Obviously not who I’ll marry. None of the great stories are about two people that marry, that’s so boring. I hope I’ll find a good pairing. Like a dashing Lion warrior and a sinister Scorpion spy. I don’t know which I’d rather marry more! They both sound fun in both ways!”

Inoshishi isn’t like the other girls, is she?

Edogawa was simply listening, chewing another mushroom.

“I’m so happy you like my mushrooms! They’re so yummy!”

[Kitsuki Kiyonobu]

On the other end of the spectrum, Shika Nesshin is a guardsman. Good with the spear, but...rather direct with his flirtation. I found some of it flattering, but one needs to understand that propriety will not be long observed, particularly if one is alone with him.

"Nesshin seemed friendly enough to me - I didn't observe the flirtatiousness that Hajime-san saw," Kiyonobu commented. "Of course, Hajime-san is doubtless more charming than myself."

Then there is Shiba Raizo. A bushi's bushi, entirely uncomfortable with the miai.

"I had a similar impression of Shiba Raizo," Kiyonobu agreed.

I briefly met Shosuro Hikimasu as well...there is something the matter with his eyes, but he seemed personable enough. ... I think there is quite a bit of "I am just a simple bushi" business going on.

"There is something odd about Hikimasu's manner," Kiyonobu commented. "But we did speak for a bit and he offered some interesting critique of That Room Will Go On Without Them, a pillow book. I think he is more than a 'simple bushi.' "

"I also met a Phoenix maiden staying at the inn by the name of Kaito Oubaihime," Kiyonobu added. "She impressed me with her etiquette and her knowledge of flowers and religion. I understand she is also trained in medicine and herbalism and has relatives among the Togashi."

[Kitsuki Hajime]

"I defer to your assessment, Kiyonobu-sama. I expect that Shosuro Hikimasu was simply trying to project an identity he does not truly possess."

[Kitsuki Edogawa]

“I’m so happy you like my mushrooms! They’re so yummy!”

"They are quite good." he nodded. "I confess, I haven't really met anyone yet."
