(D2, ME) Erratic Love (Play)

[Kaikoga Fujiko]

He seemed quite uncomfortable, but still thought about it regardless.

"The acupuncturist at the beginning", he sadi. The character who is to blame, doesn't really get shown.

Fujiko was quite surprised at the answer, but a small smile appeared on her face as she inched closer.

"Yes!" She was right. He was an ally! "They're the real main character of this piece, and we should have seen more of them!"

She realized how close she'd gotten in her excitement and shuffled back, awkwardly looking to the side.

"I-I mean... since we didn't see them, it could have been any of the other character. Maybe this was all a plot and he was actually the Miya courtier. Wouldn't that be romantic?" She thought for a bit at that. "Well, maybe not, actually. But he'd be charming enough to make it romantic."

[Aimi]

Murato watches as well. He was certainly entertained, but it wasn't quite what he was expecting. A bit odd, honestly.

He turns to Aimi when it is finished. "So... bad acupuncture leads to good fortune in marriage? Are you familiar with acupuncture? If not we should get a set of needles and poke some good luck into each other!"

With a faint gasp, Aimi covers her mouth with one hand.

"Why, Kitsu-sama, how forwards," she says, her eyes twinkling with mischief, "To talk so swiftly of marriage when we have just met... and to propose penetration when we are in public!"

He laughed, "It's a miai, so a little talk of marriage is probably expected. But if you prefer to talk about penetration in a more private setting, I would not object." The mischief in her eye was met with with a playful smirk.

Though before he could recoil she had found her restraint. Then the assault of theory and commentary came. Hikimasu wasn't about to flee (probably), but he wasn't actually theater people. He knew the folk of The Painted City were more alike to this one. Maybe she thought he was an actor...

He cleared his throat and tried to assert a little propriety. "Shosuro Hikimasu", he introduced himself with a slight bow in her direction. He thought to meet her eyes but no, she was actually kind of cute too.

Tsk.

[Seppun Yuzu]

Sakura's servant- sitting next to the blindfolded Crane- leans down to whisper in her ear. After a moment, Sakura rises, moving over to the young man. "Seppun-dono. It is good to meet with you again. Might this one ask what you thought of the play?"

The boy gets near the Crane and her attendant so he wouldn't be to crass as to shout out his point of view. Getting near enough, but not close, he provides a bow and mingles. "Good evening to both. Kakita-san. My perception: I learned that romance leads to tragedy. This tale, though, has a twist in the end. I enjoy how they played out the Miya. Not very far from how they actually are."

Now that her momentum had been stopped, Fujiko fell back on awkward platitudes. She noticed that he didn't look at her face, probably embarassed by her earlier theories. Of course, a Shosuro wouldn't enjoy so basic an analysis. She had to come with something better, but what?

[Kakita Sakura]

Sakura hums. "Kaiu Haruko aside, all the characters felt more like representatives of their Clans rather than characters in their own right. Personally, I prefer it when characters in plays and pillow-books alike are portrayed as... more than simply the common perception of their heritage."

She smiles slightly. "The Miya was the one other character who avoided that, I feel."

"Ah... Kaikoga Fujiko," she answered, politely bowing. "So, um... do you like plays?"

"I don't think Miya-san would have taken advantage of his love by being the healer who caused the problem, though maybe if his desperation to help was brought on by guilt?"

"Well it can be a lot of things", he allowed, trying to understand where she was going with that. He decided maybe she was trying too hard out of nerves. He knew how that was. "So you liked it, I see that. Does Kaikoga-san enjoy plays often?"
