(D2, ME) Erratic Love (Play)

Hikimasu thought he'd watch the play tonight as well. He brought an umbrella, but didn't make a fuss of it, his yukata was cut nice enough, it all worked rather well until you looked him in the eye.

He found a seat, seeing some people he'd got to meet, but ultimately settling to take in the entertainment alone he imagined.

Fujiko dabbed at the tears of laughter at the corner of her eyes. That had been an entertaining story for sure. She looked to the side and saw another of the miai participants, isolated a few seats away. She supposed it was time to make an effort to be sociable.

"Ah, that was certainly an entertaining story, wasn't it, Scorpion-san?" She shuffled to the man. "What did you think of it? Which character did you relate to in that chaotic story?"

This was maybe a bit sudden or perhaps even forward, but this man had several empty seats all around him. He was even less sociable than her; an ally!

[Aimi]

"Some capabilities are more mental than physical. I bet you don't know many other people that can tell ghost stories... from the perspective of the ghosts they've met."

He smiles, "Sure, it may have taken me several years to walk here from home, but now I can make a poor and inaccurate estimate of how many steps it took. I'm always learning unique things."

"Ah? Perhaps you can tell me some of those at some point, they sound fascinating," Aimi says happily, but before she can continue the play is starting.

It is... something of a mixed bag. Certainly the humour was excellently crafted and delivered, but she'd always hated to see people getting embarrassed and being expected to laugh at them, and there was at least some of that in there. Still, the craft on display was certainly well worth seeing, and she had to admit it was rather fun to watch.

[Kakita Sakura]

Yet again, the lanterns are dimmed as the play begins!

Erratic Love:

A badly failed acupuncture session leaves Kaiu Haruko wandering the city streets acting in a very erratic manner. Misadventures ensure as she crosses paths with a Kaiu Witch Hunter (who thinks she's under a dark influence), an Asako Inquisitor (that think she's possessed), a Shosuro spymaster (who think she's undercover), a Togashi monk (who think she's found enlightenment), and a kindly Miya courtier (who just wants to help).

Multiple chases ensue as the Kaui and the Asako fight over whether she needs to be purified or exorcised, the Shosuro keeps giving Haruko coded orders which cause her to behave in strangely effective ways, the Togashi keeps trying to study her wisdom and act upon it and the Miya just want to help the poor woman.

By the next day, the acupuncture wears off and a very confused Kaiu Haruko is presented with a marriage proposal from the Miya courtier!

Sakura decided to attend tonight's play as well- and this time, at least, with more focus on dialogue she was able to focus on the action more.

Still.

The whole affair seems rather... irresponsible on the part of all involved.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

He seemed quite uncomfortable, but still thought about it regardless.

"The acupuncturist at the beginning", he sadi. The character who is to blame, doesn't really get shown.

[Seppun Yuzu]

Sakura decided to attend tonight's play as well- and this time, at least, with more focus on dialogue she was able to focus on the action more.

The boy gets curious as he notices Sakura in the theater, but jut watches from afar.

[Usogawa Narumi]

The whole affair seems rather... irresponsible on the part of all involved.

Unbeknownst to either of them, Narumi was in complete agreement with the blindfolded Crane.

Also, the play seems to have struck a still-raw nerve, considering the discussion the otter had had with Yasu the morning before, about curses and those who may or may not be afflicted, and how that might play out.

Narumi settled her On into a passive smile she usually wore-- one drilled into being by her demanding aunt, instead of the glare or frown she'd rather be wearing, given the dark and cynical thoughts rolling around inside her head.

[Kitsu Murato]

Murato watches as well. He was certainly entertained, but it wasn't quite what he was expecting. A bit odd, honestly.

He turns to Aimi when it is finished. "So... bad acupuncture leads to good fortune in marriage? Are you familiar with acupuncture? If not we should get a set of needles and poke some good luck into each other!"

[Kitsuki Hajime]

He watched giving an amused chuckle here and there. Laughing out loud at some parts overall seeming pretty happy with it "Not bad! Plot got a little weird here and there but overall pretty good." He looked to Hajime "what did you think Kitsuki-sama?"

Hajime was a little perplexed by the ending.

Surprise proposal!

Not that it necessarily came entirely out of nowhere, but I found the Miya's choice indicative of his continuing to fail to completely understand what had happened to Haruko. I hope she doesn't accept." Hajime frowned. "Of course, there are worse fates than a husband who is kind but unable to see one's own perspective."

Sakura's servant- sitting next to the blindfolded Crane- leans down to whisper in her ear. After a moment, Sakura rises, moving over to the young man. "Seppun-dono. It is good to meet with you again. Might this one ask what you thought of the play?"
