"Just like the cat, hmm?" The Kuni smiles, though the bright red paint on stark white makes that a bit less reassuring than it might be as she glances to the Kitsu's golden eyes. "Want to stay and talk if I get you unwrapped from this?" she asks conversationally, confident that the room full of people is enough to stop one small child/spirit/whathaveyou.

"..."

He stepped forward. Keeping Koi behind him. "What do you have there? Explain quickly."

His hand even edged toward his blade.

Yasu glanced back at the Scorpion. "A child, or something like. And so far not a dangerous one." She frowns slightly, though it's far more at the dead eyes than at the cautious hand on a blade.

The Kuni did seem to have...a surprisingly good rapport with the child. Somewhat unexpected from the white painted face that stood against the horrors of the South.

""ok" came the quiet reply. It's not like they really had much of a choice in the matter.

Koi stood behind Hikimasu hidden from sight she placed her finger in her hand and drew a circle using the moisture of water from her wet clothing she was wearing.

Focusing on the child she looked at him curiously, and perhaps the water kami would clear up the situation a little bit.

Kitsu Tsugumasa entered the common room. He didn't feel the need to involve himself in the matter at hand, but a glance from the Shosuro kept him around for convenient segue purposes.

Yasu carefully unwraps the kid, looking him up and down carefully for signs of say...a tail, or ill intent. The blanket is folded carefully to set aside.

He relaxed his guard and bowed to Tsugumasu. "Good evening, Kitsu-san. This may not be related, perhaps we should move on."

He looked to the Dragon, Kuni and other Kitsu. "This child is a spirit? Ask him if he knows what stalks this place, something cruel comes to this inn, I believe it may be a gaki." He told them. "If you can be of aid we welcome it."

[Shiba Raizo]

Shiba Raizo appeared on the scene, intent on heading up to his room to get ready to attend the play.

He looked at the Kuni and the kid. The Kitsu and the cat. The Moth and her potbellied Shika shadow. The Scorpion with his hand on the sword.

Without a word, he turned on his heel and walked out. Given how things worked in Kyuden Shika, it was either going to be a brawl or an orgy soon, and he wanted no part of either.

Koi paused for a moment, and touched the shoulder of Hikimasu from behind to indicate for him to move slightly. "The spirit is tied to the cat, I think they are one and the same. Or at least connected. I sensed them during our adventure Murato-sama, it might be why the Owner of the establishment is being feisty. Remember we are here under their hospitality as much as the Shika."

She motioned to Genkai who continued to be as useless as always. Figures.

She turned to Renjiro the cat. "Is that the case?"

"That's a good name," he says with a smile to Renjiro the not-cat. "You are connected to this one, aren't you?" he asks pointing to Renjiro the cat.

"You were the one that helped Kaikoga-san, Shika-san and myself a week ago weren't you?" he asks with a smile. "Thank you for that."

The boy didn't want to meet the samurai's eyes.

renjiro-neko is my friend. He helps me with the inn. He's a good kitty. Please be nice to him. Please. came the soft reply.

She turned to Renjiro the cat. "Is that the case?"

The cat seemed....unresponsive to the question. It seemed like a regular cat for all intents and purposes.

[Kaikoga Koi]

Koi squatted down a little allowing her Jade eyes get a good look at the child, and this situation. What could be going on?
