"....Okay then, cousin." They said a bit awkwardly. It seemed like they thought he was perhaps losing his head a bit, but didnt verbally say anything about it.

"Seriously." He says, inspired, and explains. "Onnotangu-kami's is known for being... well... vindictive, but if we analyze the very early sayings of the liturgy, he was a being of great balance, selflessness, and –– especially –– honor. As much as Amaterasu-kami would demand ––  stab at a certain time –– deny and dismiss him, his devotion to her is unbreakable. Of course, as the it is told, he became jealous of her love, and that is what we should always remember."

He seems to be expecting his cousin to provide introductions, and his position suggest that it is more for Yuzu than himself.

Ah, right, - of course.

"Murato-san, please, join us. Let me introduce to Utaku-san, who has a name so beautiful I daren't even pronounce it," He gave her an apologetic look as he said this, "and Khar-san, her raven. This is Kitsu Murato-san, a fellow bard with a deep heart and one my old classmates."

He hoped that was enough introduction to start a conversation.

They blinked, trying to hold their bewilderment in. "I think... this is not the right place for that, cousin. We're all here for a good, easy time hanging out with each other. Not so much trying to have theological debates."

He tilts his head, saying, "Oh, I was doing just that. Did it sound like I wanted a debate?"

A shrug, "Anyhow. I couldn't let the topic go without mentioning that. It occurred to me earlier today during the eclipse. Since we mentioned the moon and stars I guess that is precedent to a good chat."

[Usogawa Narumi]

Narumi is, alas, running late, but she eventually makes it to the sake bar and as she steps inside, she takes a moment to look around, pleased with the turn out. She notes familiar faces, and ones of candidates she doesn't know so well.
Her makeup is painted on with careful perfection: lips the brightest shade of red, face pale and reminiscent of the geisha from which her young clan found their beginning. Her kimono is well-made, the lightest shade of blue, her obi tied tightly with flourish on her back, so pale a brown it reminds one of sandy beaches. Pinning her hair back from her face is a well-crafted pin adorned with a pearl and a ribbon the dark but vibrant blue of river water seen from a distance.

She mingles politely en route to the collection of sake.

As much as Unsei disrespects the younger Seppun's voice and higher status, the boy ignores the reprimanding comment politely with silence. Arguing in front of others isn't proper. Specially with a family member.

"So." He asks the others gathered, "Do you prefer to gaze at the moon or the stars?"

Yuzu having been diverted by Unsei, Murato nodded to the Utaku. "Good evening Utaku-san and Khar-san," he greets with a bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

He also offers a bow to Unsei after their approach.

The Shugenja wasn't even being disrespectful. They just weren't agreeing with him on every little thing. But, now starting to realize that their cousin was one of those imerpials, they brushed their hands of him and found a cozy corner to sit in before beginning to drink.

[Matsu Ishioka]

"Thank you for your guidance." Soyokaze glanced around the room but he wasn't sure what he was looking for, a friend, an exit, her? He turned to face his host. "Just being here feels like a betrayal. There isn't enough time left to woe another and I don't know that I want to or have the Will to force myself to. I see a few bold women here, bolder than I, if any of them were interested in me they would have approached me by now no? Heavens it's not like I am hard to find." How he missed his forge right now. He took a drink.

"Asahina-san, I understand. You're right that to woo a new love starting tonight seems difficult. But remember, please, two things. First," he says, gently setting a hand on the Crane's shoulder, "that love can take no time at all to blossom. Second, that unfortunately, in the end many of us will not be matched with those we love." Ishioka turns up all the charm he's capable of. "But, we will also not be matched with those we hate. And if we can begin some of those bonds now, to lessen the hurt of lost love and increase the chance of a blessed marriage, then we should. Not just selfishly. Do this for the dutiful spouse you will have who may not be your first love, but who wants to at least grow to be a love."
