"I don't want to meet anyone with a grudge against me... unless they plan to take out the grudge through, ah, shall we say, more pleasurable means." They rolled their head to the side to look at the cup. "Yes... it is past midday, I think. Though the sun is now back out in force again and it's nice." They were clearly talking about when Hiki lowered his mask.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"I knew I preferred rain for a reason." He drank. "In the end though, say I'm right and someone did make off with the original painting, why would they? And if it is a spirit, what is it after?"

[Seppun Unsei]

"Questions I don't have answers to. Questions these fucking cards can't answer and I doubt my stones could either." Unsei... did not like not knowing what was going on. It made them feel small, weak, and overall, just uncomfortable. There weren't many times in their life where they didn't have at least some clue of what was to happen.

"It could be a Deer prank, which would explain why, and I haven't seen too many Deer all that worried about it either, which does add a few points in that order of them doing it to get people investigating and working together to figure out this fake mystery. Maybe to see who works best together."

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

He chuckled.

"That's not a bad theory, maybe we could give them what they want?"

[Seppun Unsei]

"How? And why would we want to play into their hands?"

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"Sometimes the best way to expose a scheme is to beat it so soundly the one behind it would be shamed", he shrugged then sipped sake. "So, we investigate and force them to apologize for the disruption to the miai."

[Seppun Unsei]

"I... don't think they're going to apologize for it. Especially if it ends up showing them who works together well. They'll probably just be all-" They sat up and cleared their throat."

"All according to plan! Mwuhahaha!" As they said this, they twirled an imaginary mustache.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"Everyone knows how pathetic that sounds", he offered. "Fine though, you're disagreeing with how they'll handle it, but I don't hear you saying you don't want to, or...", he sipped and slapped the empty cup down. "Did you not want to spend time with me unraveling this cheeky mystery?"

[Seppun Unsei]

They narrowed their eyes at the Shosuro, but then sighed. "If you want to deal with this utter stupidity, then I wont say no, especially if it's getting to spent time with you."

Then they knocked back the cup of sake like it was water.

"The Dutiful spirit of the Seppun exudes from your very being", he said and refilled the cups. "We could start tomorrow if you'd like."
