[Shika Nesshin]

Tomeo, seated near Nesshin, watched the play play out, though he kept an occasional eye on the Scorpion in the crowd.

"Ah, truly a tragedy, wouldn't you say, Shika-san?" he commented. "To allow the machinations of a Scorpion beauty turn such strong bonds against one another. Truly, it is said every play has a Scorpion villain."

It was certainly a interpretation of Mimei. But she was certainly a subtle villain if that's what the author intended.

"That's a way to look at the play," Nesshin nods, "and I suppose she has to be considered the antagonist. Although I'm not certain villainy applies in such a case; I'm not certain she led either of them on, as such."

He shrugs. "But if I look at this as an unsanctioned duel, as a magistrate might...I must confess, I do not see it, here. I do not know whose jurisdiction would apply, what crime would produce the villainy."

[Seppun Yuzu]

"Oh Hello " she looks at him and then her eyes slightly widen as she recognise a mon "Seppun-sama , how fare you since the quiet moment in which we met first?" she says clearly not sure if she should be charming or propper with him.

Sakura listens to the play- and in the aftermath, finds herself approaching the Unicorn, a smile on her face after a whispered conversation with her maid. “Ah. Utaku-san, yes? Might I ask how you found the play?”

"It was certainly having some Drama "She says as she looks at her , having so far only seen her from a distance. " with a ending that aims to make one think after all, so I am not displeased by it."

"Not so good as," the boy looks at Sakura reminding of the Unicorn's family name and adds, "as Utaku-sama has been, I sense. I want to congratulate her for such glorious displays these early days. Yet, I don't believe we have been properly introduced. The other day we met, Utaku-san didn't present herself."

After the scolding coming from a rather too young Imperial, he also says, "I enjoyed the ending. A good resolution for a not so well good conflict."

[Suzume Senseki]

Again the Suzume is there sitting quietly at the back of the audience, having arrived just minutes before the play started.

Again he keeps sitting down pondering the contents of the play after its end, while most of the others are already engaged in conversation with others.

"Not at all. I don't need to see something spiritual to know you are a special woman," he says with a smile. "I could list all the things that I find attractive and wonderful about you out loud. But I think we both know you might die of embarrassment if I did that."

"So how about I just whisper one thing to you every time I see you, that way it can be our secret?"

The Kaito blushed. "Anooo... you don't need to do that." I should not invite him to my room. "May... anoo... maybe you can do so... in a more private setting..."

He shot a glance at Bayushi Mitsu.

"For example, note those two over there: the Scorpion and the Phoenix. The Phoenix clearly feels something is amiss with the Scorpion: note his narrowed eyes and his deep frown. And yet the Scorpion is all smiles. His body language is friendly, casual, as if he and the Phoenix have known each other for years. And because of those mannerisms, the Phoenix finds himself unable to dismiss the Scorpion out of hand." he suggests as way of lesson.

And I can tell there is bad blood between you, both from your comments and his, Nesshin thinks. He nods. "I have noted, though, that the Phoenix men here seem to be fairly dour. The women, not so much, admittedly. And it may be they have known one another long; they are both visiting, and I cannot speak to what has happened where I did not see it."

He brings his hands together, rubs his knuckles. "But, yes, I take your point about the affectation." I've done it myself, and so have you. "It bears consideration, to be sure."
