"I already knew it was likely I wasn't going to remain in my clan and prepared in such a way. My squad was mostly Crabs anyway, of which clan I wasn't part of. As for the peacemaker. I doubt my new lord would let a warrior go to waste. Regardless of whoever I get married to says against it." She answered.

"This conversation is turning into a boring waste of time. Either we switch the topic or I'll go on with my day and you can go on with yours."

"Right..." She nodded. "Well I said I wish to know you... so... you seem to cherish the Crab, what about you clan?"

"I respect my clan and follow their orders. They still are my clan, even if I didn't attend one of their schools." Her answer was plain and simple.

"Why not stay with the teachings of your clans? I mean no disrespect." She just wondered.

"Mother was a Crab and so part of the marriage negotiations between the two families was that the first largest child, preferably the first born, would be sent off to become a Defender. I was the first born and the largest of all of my siblings so there I was sent." She explained as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"My father was a Togashi but no such arrangement were made between the clans. Even though my younger brother is to study with the Dragon." Oubahime nodded. "I see... do you visit the Scorpion lands often? I go every summer to the Dragon lands."

[Bayushi Luixian]

"Following in his father's footsteps then?" She asked before answering. "Give or take. It's not a set time every year, but I do go see them for about two months to relax. By the end of that time I'm more than ready to leave again though."

"What do you do to relax?" The Kaito wondered since this girl was so serious and stubborn. "And my brother is planing to study with the Mirumoto not the Togashi."

She bent over and picked up a small quail from underneath a table. "I play with her. Her name is Quail." The tiny thing was smaller than Luixian's hand even with puffed up feathers. "Togashi can be from the Mirumoto school. I was trying not to base on the stereotypes but it seems I should've."

"Like a Scorpion can be from a Crab school." She nodded and looked at the quail. It was somewhat comical since a it was a large woman with a small bird. "It is nice that you have an animal friend. May I know what games you play together?"
