(D1EE) Do Cats Like Baths?

It seems like Jae arrived a bit late compared to many of the others, who from the sound of it had arrived the morning of the day prior. She felt like she had just arrived, and had soon thereafter been swept up in necessities of the Miai almost immediately.
It went well enough, she thought to herself as she disrobed and cleansed herself in preparation for the warm waters of the baths. She hadn't particularly made a name for herself during the gift giving ceremony, but that was fine; she wasn't exactly accustomed to drawing a lot of attention to herself as it was. Finally though, she was able to relax after the journey to Kyuden Shika. She makes her way to the baths themselves, lowering herself into the water with a content sigh.
She leans back against the edge of the bath comfortably, considering going to a play she had heard about later in the evening.

Koi was uncomfortable coming back into the onsen from the night before, she felt eyes from the heinin glance at her with suspicion and perhaps a little fear.
Koi was running the day in her mind, each step a pattern of what she needs to do neck over and over as she cleansed herself after disrobing and whispering a prayer to the kami.
Rising up, she approached the onsen a towel already released from her hand as she was about to slip into the water before she realised she was not again. Typical She thought and she puzzled together her best smile as quickly as she could slipping herself into the mineral filled water.
"Good evening, I apologise if I interrupted you this one is Kaikoga Koi of the Moth Clan." She said carefully slipping into the water happily.

Jae was sitting quietly in the bath, eyes closed for the moment. She wasn't particularly thinking about anything, to be honest, just letting her mind wander where it may. It was so quiet, even the sound of the bustling and talk in the inn proper didn't seem to reach the comfortable onsen. She opened one eye as she heard small noises nearby, perhaps signalling the arrival of another to the baths, but didn't see anyone at first. She closed her eyes, letting her mind go back to drifting until she heard a voice.
"Mhm? Oh, good evening! You're not interrupting, please, relax." she says warmly, eyes taking a moment to focus on the woman through the steam.
...She's very pretty.
She looked downs down quickly with a small bow of her head, "My name is Nekoma Jae, of the Cat Clan. I don't think I've met anyone from the Moth Clan before"

A bath seemed a fantastic idea, it had been an interesting pair of days at the miai so far, and the Otter had much on her mind to dissect.
Narumi disrobed, folded the fabrics neatly and setting them aside before she cleansed thoroughly. Entering the baths, she heard a voice, and put on a small but inviting smile. The entertaining of samurai never stops here, she thought, and steeled herself.
"Ohayo, samurai-ko, this one bids you both well wishes and the blessings of Benten," she speaks with simple confidence as she enters the warm waters, recognizing the ...Moth?... from the night before at the sake house, though they had not spoken. "I am called Usogawa Narumi." she inclined her head to the Moth, and then the Cat!

She inspected the Cat with a gaze similar to a hawk, her Jade eyes flashing with curiosity and a strange hunger that Koi did not realise settled in her stomach.
She missed a woman's embrace, and the very soft kisses that came with them.
"Nekoma-san of the Cat Clan, a delightful pleasure for I am also new to meeting one of your clan." She mused slipped into the water as she heard the approach of a third, and glanced towards the entry way of the onsen.
Oh, the Otter that invited me to join that very full table. She thought allowing her gaze to inspect the fine Otter, and settled deep in the mineral water allowing all pleasurable sensations float over her body. "Welcome, welcome Usogawa-san! The water kami invite you to join us!" She smiled.

"Ohayo, Usogawa-san," Jae said warmly as the other woman entered, giving her a small bow of her head as well. She laughed a little, saying "I'm not sure if you heard as you were coming in, my name is Nekoma Jae, from the cat clan." she said, reintroducing herself. There would be plenty of introductions during their time here, but something about the back-to-back exchanging of names and clans tickled her a little bit.
"I don't think I've met anyone from the Otter clan either; I've only started seeing more of Rokugan not that long ago. Growing up, the Nekoma are fairly isolated from many of the other clans." she says with a small shrug. "It's exciting to get to meet so many new people though!"

"Well if the water kami will it so, a lowly river otter will not deny them!" she giggled a little, enjoying the samurai-ko immediately, she decided.
"I'm pleased to meet both of you as well! Well, to properly meet you, Kaikoga-san- last night was a bit chaotic, ne? I didn't get the chance to talk with Yasuki Jin-san that I'd hoped. Another time then."
She nods to the Cat, "You're my first Cat I've met as well! And I'm happy this miai affords me the opportunity! Ah so, hai, the Otter are a young clan, it is true. But as we move along the rivers of Rokugan, so to do our stories grow."

Koi allowed a small smile to appear on her face at either the Otters comments or at the comfort of the water, it was hard to tell as she listened to the other speak.
"Yes, it was a bit overwhelming so I chose instead to have a bottle in the privacy of my room before drifting off to Yume-do, afterall it was a trip to get here." She giggled softly, and sunk so the water went to her neck.
Don't thinking about it, she is not here to cause you harm. Koi had to remind herself thinking of previous nights event.
.
Koi turned her eyes towards the beautiful Cat clan, her Jade eyes bright with curiousity. "Nekoma-san where is your homelands if I might ask? I want to remember it so I do not forget in the future."

Jae tilted her head curiously at the mention of chaos the night before, though wasn't sure if she should press to ask what happened. Would that be too... forward wasn't the right word. She supposed she just didn't want to seem like she was seeking rumors so early; she really just liked hearing people tell stories. "I've been near Rugashi Toshi recently, and there's a river not too far away; maybe I should keep an eye out for the Otter." she said with a smile,
"Mhm, it's not too far off the coast of the Phoenix lands, close to Kyuden Shiba." she said with a small shrug, "It's pretty, you should visit sometime. I do warn you though, it's a bit cold." she admitted. "The winters can be a little intense, and being off the coast it tends to be a little colder than the mainland anyway." she glanced around for a moment. "My hat gets some confused looks sometimes, but it's good for keeping warm."

Narumi sat comfortably in the waters, enjoying the ebb and flow over her skin (so different from the lively rivers she swam in), and got a read on both women, taking the time to listen to them.
She could see the Cat was a curious sort, and she leaned in a touch, "Last night Kaikoga-san and I decided to end our evening, individually mind you, at the sake house. It was boisterously loud, as sake houses at night tend to be, and that was not unusual. For whatever reason, Kaikoga-san and I, individually again, mind you, as we had not met prior, ended up at a large table, and there were introductions being thrown around - of which, yours was pure entertainment, Moth-san - and a rather large and loud Scorpion woman, a small Imperial-san, who seemed more interested in one-upping each other in public than actually meeting any of us? It was... hai, chaotic."
Explanation given, her ears perk up and she raises her eyebrows at the mention of Phoenix lands. "It's a shame you're off the coast... Wait, you wear a hat?" she let an easy smile grow wider on her lips.
