Kyuden Shika

This ryokan provides shelter to those guests who are not quite important enough to rate their own yashiki. The Inn is quite comfortably furnished, and the staff are very discreet. The three floors of rooms are arranged around a central garden, with covered walkways between the garden and one's doorway that allow for easy visiting with acquaintances, or late night visits if one moves very quietly.

The inn also boasts a bathhouse whose waters flow from one of the area's hot springs, which is quite the attraction for those wishing to relax in its heated waters. The bathhouse is closed in the middle of the day (Early Afternoon Timeslot) for cleaning, but may be used at any other time. Many of the staff are happy to relate tales of late night encounters and the happy matches-or dramatic loves destined to be parted-that supposedly began there.

The star of the inn, however, is Renjiro who runs the inn with a very feline grace. While not unusual to find an inn run by a Cat, an inn run by a cat is definitely unique.

Sneaking into someone's inn room;

Not so nearly well guarded as other locations, the main challenge to breaking in to an inn room is not being caught by someone randomly coming down the hall. Breaking into an inn room is a Trifling Breech of Righteousness.

It requires an Air/Fitness roll at TN 2 to sneak into any individual’s room or an Air/Skullduggery roll at TN 2 to disguise yourself as someone who belongs there like a servant If you fail this the inn’s staff notifies the Deer who will dock you one courtship point for your antics (With the same penalty for multiple occurrences) and they’ll notify the room’s occupant, who may take the appropriate measures.

Only one room may be attempted per time slot per player.
