[Kaito Oubaihime]

"I see... But they have so many gaijin traditions that I don't know..." She shook her head. "It stupid..." The Kaito sighed.

[Kitsu Murato]

"They are not Gaijin to them. They are family traditions. And Shinjo-kami accepted them, so who am I to judge where the wisdom of a Kami is concerned," he replied. "I would more consider them odd than gaijin as well. They are a part of the empire after all."

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"Perhaps you are right. We have to see both sides of the story." The Kaito looked around the clearing. "Perhaps we should look to a future where we can accept that their way and ours are not that far apart. That may have been what Shinjo no kami had seen in them."

[Kitsu Murato]

"Perhaps. But she may have also simply seen a capable and strong people that could teach her own how to live in the world outside the empires borders. If that is the case then I feel we at least owe it to Shinjo-kami to return the favor to them inside of borders where their ways are so culturally different." He smiles at her with the thoughts he shared.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"I hope Moto sama finds someone who can understand all that. Maybe you are one of her prospect." She remembered how they were when they first met.

[Kitsu Murato]

"If I am, she has not made it clear that she has interest. But with current feelings between Lion and Unicorn, even if we may get along, she may be uninterested in joining the Lion or having a Lion join her clan," he says with a smile. "If she is interested, I would be surprised. Though not against speaking with her. Though there are others that I have much greater interest in myself." He looks at her with a smile. "Like this bunny hunter I know. She needs some practice, but I think I wouldn't mind helping her out since I need the practice too."

[Kaito Oubaihime]

The Kaito giggled at that and stepped closer to the Kitsu. "I thought you told me this was your first time hunting bunnies." The girl smirked. "She is a lucky girl. Sad that you are here with me and not with her." The Kaito looked away.

[Kitsu Murato]

He smiles at her as she looks away. "I don't know if I'd call her a lucky girl. More like an unfortunate young woman that has to deal with me pestering her all the time. But I think she's maybe getting used to the fact that I am not going to let her be. Possibly even coming to expect my attentions."

He places one hand on her cheek and uses the other hand to take Oubaihime's own hand. He doesn't turn her to face him, just sharing the touch.

"But I can't know for sure. Do you think that she might one day look me in the eyes and tell me what she wants? I think you are more likely to know than me."

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"Huh" The warmh of his hand on hers on the cold water of the rain made her blush. "This is unfair." She turned to the Kitsu. "A simple hug... that is all I long for... if that is what you mean." The Kaito sighed.

[Kitsu Murato]

"Should a hug ever be simple?" he asked, not letting her answer. He stepped in while pulling her close. One hand move from cheek to the back of her neck. The other guided her hand to his back before he wrapped it around her, resting it on the small of her back and pulling her tighter. He rested his cheek against her soaked hair.

"...or should it be tender and warm."
