Po-lite?
Polite, polite... I
think sensei mentioned that once, but since most of his advice proved... questionable when it came to any subject other than killing people with sharp pieces of metal attached to a handle of some kind I may have tuned it out.
Besides, given my VAST personal charm, I'm not assuming
acceptance of anything I say, merely determining in which direction I shall fail...
Ah, I see, I see. Well, seeing as your honourable sensei failed to make an impression, let this humble woman of the waves provide some basic instruction.
'Polite' is how you talk so that innocent maidens such as myself don't feel tempted to shove this here walking stick so far up your arse, your lord mistakes you for a family banner and puts you at the head o' the marching column.
Metaphorically speaking, of course. Though if you were looking to make a memorable entrance to Kyuden Shika, I imagine something could be arranged.

Don't corrupt the young Seppun with your anti-Bushido talk! Next thing you know he will be questioning his place in the Celestial Order.
Huh?
*takes more mental notes*
While abuses of bushido certainly exist, Seppun-sama, this one might raise the point that such does not invalidate its tenets- rather, it merely makes it more important that pure-hearted samurai follow those tenets.

Is blind- she either uses a cane to tap her way around, or is accompanied by her maid, one Nanami. Generally wears clothing in the form of kimono and hakama, although they're always finely patterned.

Such works better if you put a point on the business end. I can get you some help with that, if you'd like.

You know, the matchmakers say that complementary skill sets are a wonder for marriages. And it seems Shiba-san will be able to find such a complement.

Why, Shika-san, tis not
I that has troubles with my spear!
I jest, of course. I am sure yours is very fine indeed, and no doubt wielded with all the skill and focus that has made your family so renowned in... certain quarters.
Do you offer private demonstrations?
