Of course the Deer find a way to gig me, even when the event is finally something I have a shred of aptitude for.

Put plainly, this wasn't how he liked getting his hands on Aimi.

"Thank you and please, Soyokaze will suffice. I want to apologize to you for my disrespectful manner the other evening. Though I was drunk that is no excuse and only further compounds my shame. We do not know each other and in truth I did not know myself. That night, your words, were that start of an awakening in me and whether you meant to or not you did me a great favor that night. I did not understand the emotions raging inside of me and I tried to take that out on you. Since then I have taken your advice and spoken to Oubaihime-san about both my misgivings related to her joining the Lion and my shameful display that night. I want to make it clear I hold no Ill will against you personally nor is this solely a Lion vs Crane matter, my care for Bai-san is real and I would feel this way no matter what clan you would be from, it's the war. But I understand your feelings are true as well, as are Bai-san's, and in the end I would rather see her with someone who cares than someone who doesn't. In the end the Shika will decide this and I doubt we will become great friends over this but know that I wish you only well and hope that we can move forward peacefully." He bowed low and held it offering the Kitsu his neck.

Tanabe was there in his sumai loincloth stretching with a small smile but also a look of determination and focus. He nodded to any he knew and any he considered friends got warm smiles.

It was a transparent evasion, but he didn't think the Scorpion would mind. It wasn't like Raizo really did subtlety.
