Koi smiled brightly and waved at Aimi drunkenly from across the Sake house seeking her to join them!

She might be intoxicated but she was at least reasonable. "She was a friend of mine I met during my travels!" She cheshire cat smile thinking of other nights.

As into her cups as she is, and noting how distraught Ishi has become at her suggestion, Narumi laughs and turns toward him. "I'm sorry," - but she's not sorry at all. "You did well at Jin-san's challenge!" - she veers the conversation swiftly out of the dangerous territory it'd been circling.

[Matsu Ishioka]

"Ah, thank you," he says, releasing a certain nervous breath as she redirected the conversation. "It, um... I've had plenty of drink with good company at Kyuden Hida," he says. "With bad company too, of course," he chuckles, awkwardly trying to decide what his plan is here. "Yasuki Jin's choice tonight was, ah, stronger than I would expect for this part of the empire. Usually the Crab go a little easy on those from other clans, save their best stuff for the folks who need it," he says, implying the defenders of the Wall.

Absent-mindedly, Ishioka takes another drink from the cup that's still in his hand. Too late, he remembers its strength, and he has to take a moment for the intensity to pass through. I don't have many more of those left in me, he realizes, although outwardly he still seems quite together. It is as he's doing this brief self-reflection that he recalls he's still perilously close to Narumi. Oh, sweet Narumi.

Seeing that her friend has apparently regained consciousness, Aimi ambles over, settling herself into the nearest chair.

"Hey, Koi-san, just cause you're named for a fish don't mean you ought to be drinking like one," she says with a mock frown, "Leave that for us ladies of the waves, ne?"

She sits still for a moment... and then, with a start, remembers her manners and sketches something approaching a bow. "Hmm. Bit too much, maybe. Your lands are very lovely, Shika-san."
