When that whole speech of helping out with the rain was met with pretty much crickets, Unsei felt a little part of themself die, but such was life.

"Moto-san there had the idea for it and she did most of the work writing them. I helped with about a quarter of them, but in exchange I had to ask the clan champion to let us host the party."

"Well. I should congratulate both yourself my cousin and Moto-san," He says providing a nod to her, "Quite a good way to gather people with common interests."

As his eyes return to Unsei, Yuzu tries to avoid looking at Koi, with all his might. But just fails... for mere heartbeat. Her siren-like allure eats him away from the inside. The young boy holds his temples with one hand, trying to ease what could appear to be a migraine.

Oubaihime's voice chanting nearby also wasn't helping.

For now, Narumi sits back and watches the goings-on, reading lips and body language all the same. Were they really discussing changing the weather?
She took polite bites of her cake.

Mitsuki looked around in search of some support regarding the previous subject of discussion, and felt like she might have found it:

"Otter-sama, maybe you have some experience to share about foreseeing and managing floods? A river leaving its bed surely is something your clan must have witnessed quite a few times."

She swallowed her bite of cake as the Unicorn's attention landed on her, and offered a light shrug and a nod, "Oh hai, swollen rivers are a dangerous method of travel, but not impossible- though they take a certain precision in seafaring that this one has yet to master. The concern is very real, though I don't suspect the illustrious Kyuden Shika will flood."

Oubahime looked at the Crane and asked him to sit next to her. "Crane sama... please sit here." It seemed that Koi was cranky and not in the mood to talk. "I hope Inari has blessed you today."

Soyokaze stood and moved over to join the Kaito. "Hai Bai-san thank you and I trust you have been blessed as well." He began started to say more but believed that the meeting was beginning to properly begin he fell silent not wanting to irritate a room full of priests, monks and Imperials.

Unsei was blind a large portion of the time, but not always. Having been asked to give advice and such, Unsei had been watching their cousin for what could be the issue and it wasn't quite difficult to guess after the flickering look.

Then their attention flicked to the rest of the conversation, paying attention to what was being spoken elsewhere.

"Seppun-sama," Bayushi spoke up. "Has it already been divined that there will be a flood, or some other disastrous weather?"

He held up a questioning hand. "Divining the location of a secret meeting is quite impressive - or using one's finely honed powers of intuitive deduction," he preened, straightening himself proudly. "But I hadn't noticed anything particularly off with the weather..." Glancing about in general, the Scorpion went on with concern. "No one has found evidence of any spirits pushing the weather in dangerous directions?"
