No immediate questions - just thanks for a great game even if you snuck some evil in at the end there

Biggest surprise: Soyokaze crafting a magic mirror. A wonderful example of "If you set a TN for something, no matter how challenging, someone is gonna mek it by throwing enough dice at it." Course that TN was set by the book, not me.
Wish I had done things differently: I should have accepted Nesshin's offer to co-gm. I liked giving him the chance to play first, and he really loves his Deer, but I could've done more with the NPCs with some help.
Favorite Scene: Seppun Unsei and Wattan

I challenge you to a duel over your insulting the dueling system.
Next game planned doesn't have dueling as an event, and in the meantime we have top men working on improvements to the system, thanks in no small part to everyone here stress testing the RAW. Sorry for the anxiety, and thank you for the help.

This ain't Naishou bub
I dunno, with strife I thought players wouldn't really be interested in another event, but Koi's festival events went over fairly well, so maybe it would've worked.

Actually the opposite is true.Shiba Raizo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 12:47 pmSurprised at the relative lack of interest in the available NPCs as spouses?
I didn't expect Hajime and Taemon. Murato would have taken Bayarmaa as a backup, a few people wanted Reina. They served their purpose fairly well.

Thank you for the game. I'm still not sure how I felt about the system, but this was a nice introduction.

Re: A Peek behind the screen (Saibankena's Q&D)
The only pre-existing plot hooks were the events, and what the NPCs had written into them. That plus the madness that PCs bring with them is more than enough for a game. I was surprised how long it took for players to uncover Renjiro. Apparently a cat as an innkeeper is highly believable XDMoto Mitsuki wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 1:07 pmDid you make plot hooks on the fly depending on what players show interest in or was it all written beforehand?
If the latter, are there some big things you're disappointed we missed?
I didn't have any pre-written undiscovered plots, but I did have some on the fly hooks written that wouild've been interesting that went unuused:
What if Seppun Yuzu had destroyed the mirror?
What if Seppun Unsei was left tied up in the woods overnight?
Overall, I'm glad I didn't have to use these, but they were interesting.
