Opportunities, Strife, Damage, and Void Points

Opportunities:
There are many possible uses for opportunities, both on pages 328-329 of the core book, and in many of the other books. There are two that you should always keep in mind:
Opportunities can cancel strife on the same roll.
Most events allow the spending of opportunities for flair whether that's being Subtle with Air, Careful with Earth, Flashy with Fire, Efficient with Water, or Mystical with Void. The judges appreciate all these things.
GM retains veto power on any opportunity spends that are overly disruptive to the game. Suddenly remembering blackmail on the daimyo, setting fire to the garden, etc.
