Has spent some time with the Kitsu but not much. Enough to cause a stink with her extended family when she inevitably insulted them.

But yes, Ishioka is probably relatively well known around Kyuden Hida. I imagine Crab finding the Stone Matsu quite fascinating.

Dunno, what *do* you call the kids of the sibling of one of your moms' consorts (who's definitely your bio-parent)? consort-cousins seemed about right. Could just go with cousins, but because they're not related via the official marriage, they're not official cousins.

That is a tricky thing. And with the context, yeah, consort-cousins does seem fairly apt. I mean, this also gets into the Rokugani tendency to call anyone in their clan a cousin, which is kinda crazy. Given that you could probably get away with calling them cousins in informal settings but not where the strict people are. Also probably depends on how strict your mom is about the language here. That could definitely vary with personalities and the specifics of their circumstance.

Just remember, if you come to test how stony the Stone Matsu really is, it's good form to buy him a drink when he's off shift. To help maintain his very positive relationship with the Crab Clan.

Yes. Yasu's father (consort) is Hida. So there's cousins there. Kyuden Hida specifically is under discussion
