Pre-game connection establishing thread

For those who want to talk about establishing connections between each other before the game starts.

[Kaikoga Koi]

I don't expect Koi has any connections with anyone directly but those in the Crane lands might know of Koi's younger sister who works in a Moth owned Inn.

Otherwise, maybe have seen Koi perform when she was travelling with a Ronin troupe?

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

Not too much of a traveler, but I've been to Ryoko Owari Toshi. As part of duties Hikimasu once went to Shizuka Toshi to deliver an official missive to the Crane from his lord. He stayed for 2 days to wait for a reply to bring back. He took Beiden Pass to Shiro Matsu, then went south into Crane lands.

On the trip to Kyuden Shika he went to Shiro Matsu again, then straight to the Deer lands.

So I'm open to Crane and Lion meetings in the past.

As well as Unicorn due to having been further north.

Crab are always an option as well if you're in Scorpion lands.

But prior that that he's been mostly in central/southern scorpion lands, and i doubt many of you have.

[Shiba Raizo]

Raizo has mostly trooped around the Phoenix lands on anti-bandit detail, but it's possible that he's been farther afield.

That said, every trip he's taken thus far has been one where he was part of a friggin' army.

[Usogawa Emiko]

Emiko when she was younger travelled around a little with her father as the Otter were growing. She has met with Crane, and other minor clans, however any clan that has big enough rivers has likely had an Otter visit or two.

[Kakita Akihiro]

Akihiro has visited Kyuden Kakita, Kyuden Doji, Shiro Matsu since becoming an adult and grew up in the Kakita province right next to the Aokami forest. If you are a Deer samurai or have visited those places in the last few years then you might have met! You might even know what he looked like before losing a fourth of his face.

[Seppun Yuzu]

Yuzu grew up inside the Imperial Palace. From 5 to 15 years old, as the Miharu do. So… if you ever went to the Imperial Palace, Yuzu (Bo at that time) might have polished your blades.

[Kitsuki Hajime]

Hajime made a big splash at Winter Court this year, and his lord's territory is considered something of a destination, particularly for Dragon territory. He makes certain to keep his pulse on cultural (especially literary) trends, and is something of a popular author. Crane, Phoenix, Imperial, and Lion territory folks might have picked up one of his pillowbooks or poetry collections at fine dealers in major cities. Likewise, artists might have received correspondence from this Kitsuki.

Famous or even just well-known magistrates might also have received a fan letter asking for career advice.

If your ronin troop ever wandered through Dragon lands, Hajime's lord's territory is a prime destination for culture and the arts, in large part due to Hajime's propaganda. It's entirely possible that we might have met during your tour, if you'd like.

Well, if it was this year, a certain Doji uncle to Yuzu was the Governor. He was very sick. If it was couple of weeks or days ago, then it would have been Yuzu.

Moth Clan does seem to be based within the Mountain’s and if that is the case that makes logical sense that the troupe she travelled with made their way there.

I am honestly okay with that! Perhaps, they met after a particularly interesting performance that warrented formal introductions to be made. Tea perhaps? Perhaps, Hajime's Lord at the time was having some particularly bad dreams and it warrented an approach to a member of the Moth Clan and such introductions were made?

I'd prefer the latter myself solely as I feel like having something to establish her skill as a dreamweaver would help flesh her out some more but I do not mind either way.
