Fun fact: Bid-based effects never really worked in the LCG due to both players usually having the same bid (of 1 or 5), and thus lower/higher bid conditions never triggering. So more of a "meh" omen.

One month and a half of game.
Less IC interactions due to a lot of plots having reached their conclusion, and the game being too close to the end to begin weaving new ones, which in turn means less OOC interactions.
September is the start of the school year.
Probably a bunch of other reasons.
