[D8, EE] Session 3 (Expecting)

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

He opened the blanket and took out the small box, tea warmer, and cups within. Laying it out he set it all down and stuck out his hand to feel for rain. Hmm...mostly run off from leaves. He went to get his umbrella so they could use two. It would keep the grass from getting even more wet as well.

He stopped as he slid it off the saddle and watched her for a bit, patting Yudaina's mane. He found himself staring a bit, seeing the girl in the rain appreciate nature. As the shit eating grin crept onto his face, covered by his mask he called out.

"Usogawa-san, would you join me for tea?"

Yudaina seemed to wonder where his tea was.

[Usogawa Emiko]

Emiko looked up when she got called, and nodded with a smile.

"Hai! Coming over now."

She carefully made her way over, not wanting to faceplant the mud, and eventually made it to Hikimasu.

"Oh, it's like a picnic. You planned all this? You didn't need to."

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"Well it wasn't any trouble", he told her, scratching the back of his head. Then it looked like he was going to say something, and he looked at her but was struck by eye contact and his voice shriveled into nothing. He laughed nervously and turned around toward the blanket. "Have a seat...anyway, the tea should still be hot, it's just a common green blend."

The Scorpion found himself a place to sit under where he'd stuck his umbrella between some branches, it kept the water off well enough he thought.

[Usogawa Emiko]

"Thank you though, it still means a lot to me" Emiko said with a bow, before sitting herself down under the umbrella, finding a place to put her own so it sat over them as well.

"Allow me to pour the tea" she added, reaching for the container

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"It meant a great deal to do it", he said, thinking he was only thinking that. "And please do, so long as I can return the favor", he manged with a gesture to the tea bamboo, almost a protest of politeness, but it was just his people's custom. "No one should have to pour their own drink."

He held out his cup with the three dancing foxes on it, focusing on keeping his hand steady.
