Shika Muneyaki is on extended patrol. For a brief window of time, those wanting to speak with the elusive artist can attempt to intercept him at the closest he comes to the castle on this leg of the patrol.
To speak to Muneyoki requires 4 momentum points. You have 6 rolls to make momentum four. Those who achieve it in 6 rolls or less get to talk to him, those who don't lose the trail, wander around for awhile and eventually return to the castle disappointed.
Chose your approach:
1) George of the Jungle: You can attempt to use the series of walkways, climbing ropes, rope bridges and tree platforms to catch up to him. This requires a Water/Fitness Roll at TN 2 Success grants a momentum point, plus momentum points for each bonus success. Failure on the roll, however, means you slip off the equipment and hit the ground taking 2 Fatigue.
2) Head him off at the pass!: You can attempt to simply run the man down cleverly maneuvering along the forest paths. This requires a Fire/Tactics roll at TN 3. If you fail this roll, you take 1 Fatigue as you smack into a low hanging branch.

Koi had been working out, she had been preparing for this moment all day. She had done warm up and stretches, she had focused her mind with all that she can and with a determination of a waterfall eroding the stone Koi focused herself. She felt the water around her and shifted her stance, allowing it to cool her body.
She took off like a rocket, her hands and feet working and sliding as she climbed up a tree bounding on one foot to another across a pathway but gasping as her foot slide and she nearly feel but leapt the last second landing on a platform a little distances away. He was still on the move, and Koi snarled.
She took flight across a runway, moving fast as she dared sliding occasionally from the rope ladder which she scaled, taking a rope that hung to swing from she took a deep breath. She climbed up wobbly, this time allowed her breathing to slow and tried again leaping far, her body stretching and pulling tight as she shouted. "Shika Muneyoki! Halt! I wish to speak to y-" She slammed her ribs hard into a platform causing the wind to leave her mouth and she gasped in pain but she was use to her ribs being broken. She had worse, but the pain sent blinding spots into her vision as the air sucked from her lungs.
Fuck this, and fuck that guy! Koi let out a bellowing roar as she swung the kami of water blessing her have a better grip, to hold on to shift her weight just right and she begin to get the hang of it. Transfer, to transfer she moved through the trees and with her roar she called out. "By the Seven thunders Shika Muneyoki you will stop and speak to me!" She was after all, not a skilled bushi but at least she didnt miss leg day.
Landing hard on a platform, her Jade eyes flashing like she was almost feral with anger the pain, the swinging pumped her through emotions she never realised she still had. "I wish to speak you!" She said, exhaling hard.

Nesshin knows the regular patrol routes. He knows the terrain. He knows himself, and he leaps into action. His first bound takes him surprisingly far, letting him press ahead with great speed through the trees. And so it is that he finds himself in front of Muneyaki as Koi makes her approach.
"Muneyaki-sempai, a moment!" he calls out.

Bayushi Mitsu had come down from the tree platforms, and now stood in the dark and the rain, watching Shika Muneyaki carefully. "It seems you are a popular man, Shika-san!" he called out. "Why don't we all have a conversation?"
Tanabe had just been hanging out in the woods and noticed people all heading in the same direction. He figured going high would be the best way to track people and so he used the various ropes to traverse the woods it was overall a breeze but the ropes and ladders had not been built with someone Tanabe's size in mind.
As he arrived he saw a few people most of whom he recognized from one place or another except the Deer they seem to be gathering around.
As the hunters converged upon Muneyaki's position, he looked su!rprised to see them all out there. Noting his fellow Deer amongst them, he bowed.
"Evening Nesshin-san! he called out. "Leading some of the guests around for some woods training?"
[letting Nesshin answer first, but I wanted to get this in before I forget]
Bayushi moved closer, watching the Deer carefully as he picked his way through the undergrowth.
"Shika-san," the Scorpion wondered in a casual tone, just a few steps away from Muneyaki, "why did you remove the sixth painting from the castle hallway, and replace it with a forgery?"
[Bayushi is watching carefully to see Muneyaki's reaction, and to assess the veracity of and motivations behind his answer]

Muneyaki blinked at that.
"That's what's brought you out here in this weather?" he asked somewhat surprised. "Were it not my Duty to be out here, I'd certainly rather be back home and dry."
He shrugged a bit his his straw cloak to emphasize the point.
"But, I guess if you're going to come all the way out here, the least I can do is answer your question. It's just a small prank we're playing on Shika Buncho. Just to mark his upcoming nuptials, y'know?"

Koi would frown from that. "You are pranking someone by taking a painting from your Lord's hall way, scattering flowers unto the floor all the while when you should be patrolling the hallway?"
Koi looked uncertain as she held onto her rib which throbbed in the rain. "It is a lot of effort to go through, to paint a picture so closely to the original, find the exact flowers to scatter upon the floor and to take over a position before coming to do your duty here."
