To that end, perhaps he could learn more if they were private, and the woods remained the perfect place. Oubaihime looked around and saw the little creature hopping around. She slowly tried to approach it but sadly it ran away.

"You need to listen to more stories, Kasuga-san," Aimi says with a wry smile, "Or perhaps listen to the ones you've already heard a bit closer."

She whistles once, a shrill sound that carries through the trees, and all around the pair of them the trees rustle slightly in response. It sounds almost like waves against the shore.

"People don't meet spirits all that regularly, Kasgua-san," the shugenja says softly, "That don't mean the spirits ain't watching them. So dial back the shoju jokes, ne?"

"See, that's why I needed you with me" Yoshi replies, doing his best to not let his nerves show after Aimi's demonstration.

He lapses into a pause. "So, how have the miai events been treating you? I am not sure how kemari was supposed to apply to a real couple..." Yoshi freezes. "Right. There was the lineage one as well."
