Kyuden Shika

Wanting to clear his head a bit after the play, and feeling sluggish from a disrupted sleep schedule, Nesshin makes his way to the woods again. The smell of trees, the sound of wind, even the dampening rains, all ease him somewhat. Which is good, because it is a strange amount of strain to lever himself up into the trees this evening...

Oubaihime was in the forest looking up a tree analyzing which was the best branch to go up on. "Hmmm, they are too tall."

Nesshin looks down, sees who it is, and smiles. Definitely a good view, he thinks, and he takes it in for a moment before he calls out.

"Go about five paces to your left," he says, "and look up. You should see a ladder."

"Huh?" She looked at the horse then the rider. "Shika sama... good to see you this evening." The Kaito smiled. "A ladder? hmmmm" the girl pondered

"Unless there's something else you'd like to climb, yes," Nesshin calls back down, leaning out enough that she'd be able to see him clearly. "And I can give you help with that, if you'd like."

"Huh?" She chuckled. "I guess I am barking at the wrong tree. Maybe a new pair of eyes can help this one to find a suitable tree to climb."

"Need me to meet you down below?" Nesshin asks. "I can always go back down into the bush for you."

"If you so wish, Shika sama." She looked at the tree then to the Shika. "Perhaps we can walk around the forest instead of looking for a high point to watch nature."

"I'll come down, then," he says, adding "though you really are missing out, here, you know. Climbing the wood here is singularly enjoyable." The tone is even enough, hinting that there may be something more to what he is saying--but if there is, it's gotten itself lost in the forest. It's not the first or only thing to do so, of course.

He smiles wryly for a second, then steps back, takes a few quick steps, and launches himself form the platform, twisting with lithe agility to land on the ground solidly. He stumbles a bit as he lands, turning the motion into a clever tumble that dissipates the momentum of his fall and leaves him standing, smiling, in front of Oubaihime and very close to her. A leaf has stuck in his hair just at his left temple, but it's still a clear display of agile athleticism.

"Which way'd you like to go?" he asks.

The Kaito first was concerned when she saw the Shika fall then he did the pirouette and gave a sigh of relief. She blew the leaf that was left hanging. "Do you know where one can find nice bark for a special remedy?"
