[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"They broke the gift", he shrugged. Yūdaina nodded his giant horsey head.

[Usogawa Narumi]

"Oh. That is unfortunate. But everything worked out in the end?" She wrinkles her brow, and the roots threw her satchel again, producing another apple.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

Oh, sure. Screaming and threats followed by my aunt making everyone shut up with a harsh stab of a knife right through the mask's center.

"Shika-sama seemed to think so", the Scorpion replied. "I was trying to get off the dais before asked for details."

Yūdaina clopped forward a step to put his snout into the bag.

[Usogawa Narumi]

"Tut tut, Yudaina-san! Patient horses get the reward." she took a step backwards then, smiling, before it faltered. "It being well received is what's important... And now that's over with, and we wait anxiously for what tomorrow might bring."

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"I prefer to live now", he said, pulling Yidaina back. "Speaking of, you can treat him after he shows us a good time."

[Usogawa Narumi]

"And what sort of good time is it that Shosuro-san would like to be shown?" she returns the apple to its satchel, and tilts her head to one side in curiosity, searching the Scorpion's eyes.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

He stepped back toward the horse's flank and held out his hand toward her.

"I thought we were going on a horse ride."

[Usogawa Narumi]

"You're not wrong." It was a with a clear moment's hesitation before she put out her hand to accept Shosuro's and stepped towards him, letting him direct her on what to do next.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

With surprising directness and precision, Hikimasu took her hand, brought her closer, gripped her waist and hoisted her up, right onto Yūdaina's back. With a similarly deft move he mounted up just in front of her.

"Ready? I can take it easy at first if you'd like, but he does like to run."

[Usogawa Narumi]

Riding off into supposedly haunted woods with a Scorpion. This was totally fine. A super smart move.
"Ready, Shosuro-san, and easy, if you please. This one does not spend much time around horses, truth be told."
