Kyuden Shika

After a stroll along the paths into the forest and outside of the castle, Yuzu sees Lady Sun setting and decides would be a good to have a better look from atop the trees. He starts searching for ways to get up there.

From behind him, Nesshin will say "It's a tricky climb, you know. But it'll be easier if you head off to your left about fifteen yards; there's a ladder there."

He bows as the Seppun turns--because it'd be weird if he didn't--and shows himself in his patrol outfit. Not that he's on patrol, as such; that's been somewhat suspended for the duration of the miai. But, well, this is still his place, and he does still feel for it--and he needs the exercise, himself.

Yuzu provides a bow to the guard, "Thank you for the instructions Deer-san. I hope I am not intruding. I am Seppun Yuzu, Governor of Chisei. Please, treat me kindly."

"Shika Nesshin," comes the reply. "I believe I saw you in the great hall earlier. I trust your travels went well."

"Otosan Uchi is quite near." He mentions while walking towards the ladder. "Travel was very enjoyable. Kind of you to ask."

"Of course," Nesshin replies. He adds "The first rung is high; take care" and "What brings you out this way this afternoon?"

Yuzu nods and carefully begins climbing the tree with the indicated ladder. Each step, a confirmation to eventually rise up to the top. But, once midway, Yuzu gets his feet rooted into the tree and doesn't see a way to move further up.

With a frown, he looks back to Nesshin, "Are you sure this was the way to get there?"

Nesshin, accustomed to the exertions, climbs up beside the Seppun--and ahead of him, extending a hand down to help him up.

"One way I've used, yes," he says. "There're others."

Yuzu looks at Nesshin's hand extended toward him and shakes his head negatively, "Thank you for the assistance, but I have to learn from my mistake. I will be fine here."

The hand withdraws. "As Seppun-chiji says," Nesshin answers. "But your problem is you're trying to do it all with your upper body; mind your footing, and you'll do better."
