He rode ahead swiftly, through a meadow and back out to another road. The wind was right for thr hot day, it felt right. He and Yūdaina kept pace, galloping down the road until reaching a fork guarded on either side by thick trees.

He waited a moment for Kheree there, but only long enough to brme sure she knew the path he'd take, then charged off on the left side, going further back into the woods instead of out towards the eastern lands.

"Let's see what's this way, Kheree-chan!"
