That made her blush. "I'm used to being on my own, is all," she clarified, pushing damp locks of hair back from her face.

For once he takes a hint and moves a little closer in, "Well you only have ta be alone while you're here if you want ta be. You know I'm around if ya need someone." He smiles again then looks at the river, "And maybe the Deer will see to it that that's true after here too."

Her cheeks burned brighter red at that, but the abject panic she usually felt around Bo was no where to be found.
"Hai... Everywhere I look, I see you, Bo-san," she said quietly, harkening back to the Lion's haiku. "And not just because of your size," her expression broke into another grin.

"Is that what happened to your lip? Someone didn't see you and bumped into you?" While he had a hard time imagining not noticing the Otter he had a harder time imagining hurting her for any reason other than an accident.

She stiffened at the question, and glanced away from the river and back up, up to him. "Something like that."

He frowns a little, "Well you gotta be careful then. If people aren't gonna notice you you've gotta notice them so you can avoid them." He had quite a bit of experience with the lesson from the 'making sure you notice them' side of things - otherwise he could have hurt a lot of people.

She laughed at that, although it was tinged with a touch of bitterness she immediately regretted. "Hai, I'll keep that in mind and do my best to avoid getting hurt again next time."
