"It's... quite an unusual experience. To hear something that... human, but to not understand a word of it. A group of Yobanjin- on their side of the border- were sitting around a fire and singing one night. We were there to maker sure they didn't cross over, but... they didn't. I think they were a hunting party, they had a couple of mountain goats they were carrying. We could see a lot from where we were."

The man listens attentively and seems to ponder on his story for quite some time. "That's really something, ne? I've... heard a few stories from people beyond the Empire, mostly from the Unicorn. It's hard to even imagine it, really, for me. I wonder... do they think the same thoughts? Feel the same things?"
A smile at Raizo. "There's really a lot you can learn by travelling."

"Oh, I'm pretty sure they feel the same way about a pebble in their sandals as we do. Sure they get hungry the same way."
He grimaced.
"They fight and die like we do, certainly."
