"The Path of Righteousness always triumphs. No matter the cost." He says.

"Not all of us have the luxury of such path Seppun san." Bai finished her onigiri. "You see sometimes the humble path is one to bring enlightenment. These bakemono would test those things."

He tilts his head. "One doesn't need luxury to adhere to bushido. Above all, that is a humble and honorable path. It is the way of the serving warrior."

"Not all have to be samurai to be a true follower of bushido. I have tended eta and heimin who have such humbling life that are so grateful to be seen in a light of a samurai." She looked at the Miharu. "Keep that in mind about your servants as well. A good heimin and a good eta are to be taken care for as they are the ones who do the dirty jobs that you don't like."

He takes a deep breath, "Bai-chan is correct, but not about liking or not. It is due one's past services. Nevertheless a samurai must follow bushido. Else, better to serve as heimen or eta. Doing otherwise would disrespect those that aspire to become samurai."

"Yes... a samurai should follow bushido. Bushido dictates that one must take care of those who can't take care of themselves." She nodded. "I don't think eta and heimin are of the status of samurai nor aspire to it."

He shakes his head, “Samurai are bound to serve the Heavens and their representatives, above all, the Emperor. Bushido encourages compassion over those that cannot fight for themselves. Strange, indeed, that Bai-chan has such a different view.”

He rubs his chin, “If a heimin or eta do not aspire to evolve and become samurai in the next life, then they’ll be forever stuck where they are in the Celestial Order. How foolish of them would be not to serve their best this life and be granted a better birth in the next.”

Bai sighed. "They may be reborn as samurai but aspirations in this life might just stay there. They would not want to be disrespectful toward the current samurai."

"Oh. That most definitely. Aspiration to serve dutifully so that in the next life they are rewarded. Desire is a sin. Honorable compensation for honest service in the afterlife, is another."

"Desire is a sin that can take many forms one of set forms is jealousy, the desire to want that that cannot be your and it is for another. Thus the heimin and the eta should never be jealous of the life of a samurai."
