[D11: EN] Unyielding dreams (Open)

[Kaikoga Koi]

Koi found herself unable to sleep, her mind was filled with thoughts and plans that were far more complex than she ever thought she would have to deal with. She never had expected to have to plan to be an Imperial Secretary, that was not something she had invisioned.

The Moth has expected to get married, have a child and ultimately fade from the world like an exhaled breath. Gone, forgotten...

Koi could not lay in her bed when she felt such a weight upon her shoulders so consistently. She dressed warm, with her cloak, her katana slipped into her obi, her new umbrella fashioned in lilac hues covered in lunar moths and owls. Taking her lantern that was given to her by Raizo she left her room, glancing at Genkai who was outside her door struggling to stay awake.

Koi frowned sadly at the situation she had put him in but it ultimately did not matter. He rose, and Koi said softly. "Only a short walk, I cant sleep Genkai-san I am sorry."

She headed out with him to walk the Walls her beautiful lantern illuminating their path as she walked. She did not go fast, and took the long way round.

Standing upon the Walls, she sighed and just stood there lost in thought.

[Asahina Soyokaze]

Soyokaze leaned over the edge of the wall and considered things. He had never come up here before but he needed a new perspective. Nothing made sense any more other than his father's assertions that he was a failure. yet she loved him, for some unfathomable reason she loved him when he couldn't. "Damned Imperial, why is he even staying in the same Inn as the rest of us?" He pulled back from the edge and continued on down the rampart. "Not tall enough." Upon seeing the Moth he stopped, not wanting to disturb her and considered walking back the way he came but he had barely seen her since their first meeting. "Good evening Koi-sama."

Leave her alone she must be here to meet someone

[Kaikoga Koi]

Koi was enjoying the rain at night and the quietness as the air kami settles down to allow all the people in Rokugan to drift freely into Yume-do, except for her, her pet Deer...and apparently a Crane as well. The Moth lifted her lantern to get a good look at the figure before allowing a small smile across her face. "Oh, good evening Asahina-san, have you also not been allowed into the realm of Yume-do this evening? Troubles weighing on your mind?"

The Moth turned to speak to the Crane, her Jade eyes beautiful in the lantern light.

Her eyes flicked to Genkai and said quietly, as a small joke. "Pay no attention to my escort, I am just taking him for a walk before bedtime."

[Asahina Soyokaze]

"My heart and mind will not calm this evening so I decided to explore some of the places I haven't visited yet before we leave here." He hadn't noticed the guard at first and looked at the Moth with concern. "Is everything well Koi-sama? Have you become to target of someone dangerous that you need a personal escort?"

[Kaikoga Koi]

Koi glanced at Genkai with a playful smile. "Oh, there was some misadventure but Lord Shika prefers his guests to know that they should perhaps mind their own business or at least don't get involved in mischievous spirits activities." This was a bit tongue and cheek but she did smile. "Ignore him, I mostly do."

She raised a brow, and motioned for him to walk with her for a spell the lantern lit giving them an ambient light. "What troubles you? Bad dreams? I am quite adapt at deciphering dreams."

[Asahina Soyokaze]

"More like waking nightmares. I have made some very stupid decision over the past few days. I've stained the legacy of a rising star in my clan, hurt someone I love at every turn, wounded a rivals heart and failed repeatedly at my craft. What troubles your dreams?"

[Kaikoga Koi]

Koi pondered for a moment before sighing. "Yeah that sounds about as one would imagine. At least no one died, and you tried. Can't honestly do more than that."

She frowned. "Walk me through it, if at least it helps get it off your chest. Allow me, for a short time to weather your burdens so you might find some sort of peace. No judgement, no blame."

[Asahina Soyokaze]

"You have done much to help this one in the past, I would help shoulder your burdens before adding mine."

[Kaikoga Koi]

Koi waved her hand, and made a small 'Pfft' noise. "Remember, I am Daimyo of the Moth little Crane. I have asked for your worries, and I will shoulder them. Speak." She said, clearly being playful but her tone dared him to contradict her again.

She even added a raised brow.

[Asahina Soyokaze]

Soyokaze offered a respectful bow with a playful grin on his face. "Of course Kaikoga-sama please forgive me." Then the smile left his face. "Since we first met I have fallen madly in love, that love has been reciprocated but she also loves another. I feel grossly inadequate compared to him and have been crippled by my own failings and inadequacies. Because of this i have hurt the woman I love multiple times, usually in an attempt to protect her from hurt ironically. Because I have devoted all my time to her I have barely met any of the other women here. I have done poorly in nearly all of the Shika's tests and I have been failing to create anything for several days after creating a masterpiece as a gift for my love. I was forced into a duel with an Imperial because I made the grave mistake of saying the name of my love out loud in front of him and then I didn't tell her about it. i dragged my clans top prospect into championing me in the duel only to concede it before it started because I realized that winning the duel would have caused more harm to others than it would have done me good. Oh and the other man? He's super pissed at me because I told him about the duel and made him promise not to tell our mutual interest and she got mad at him about it. I have carried your mantra this whole time but i am simply to stupid to live up to it. When I die I have no doubt that I will become the fortune of self sabotage. Also the Lion hate me."
