Nesshin reports to the temple, broom in hand, and resumes cleaning...

"I never had you figured for the domestic type, Shika-san."

Raizo had swung by the temple out of boredom as much as anything, and now... now he had something to focus on beyond a certain ironclad need.

"Not sure if it suits you."

Nesshin nods as he continues to sweep.

"Everything in its due time, of course, Shiba-san," he says. "But you'll forgive me that I don't stop sweeping while you're here; orders, you know."

"I do, I do. You know, if Kaito-san sees you at this, she's going to have some useful advice on technique..."

Raizo's player knew that Oubahime had already consulted Nesshin. Raizo didn't.

"... I, on the other hand, merely have somewhat bemused sympathy to offer."

Nesshin chuckles.

"She did, as it happens," he says. "But as long as I keep at it, things won't get worse."

He keeps sweeping throughout.

"So, you seemed...displeased this morning."

"I've never had much use for abstruse arguments."

He paused.

"And none of the topics on offer actually interested me a hell of a lot."

Nesshin nods as he continues sweeping.

"I can see that, given what you've told me before," he notes. "Although not even the sake? But I figure not a lot of that goes out on campaign, does it?"

He pauses for just a moment, adjusts his hands on the broom, resumes.

"Sake's just sake as far as I care. I mean, I know some is better than others, but I don't get worked up about it. Besides. I've actually spent more time in the local teahouse than at the sake bar..."

The Kaito was far away from these two doing laundry in the back.

Nesshin nods.

"It strikes me as strange that tea wasn't up for discussion," he says. "Especially given that we've all had--anyway, which of the teas have you found most to your taste?"

It's a strange pivot, perhaps, but still...
