[Asahina Soyokaze]

With yet another apology, Unsei walked up to the Asahina, getting way too close, and leaving only a few inches of space between them. Their honey-brown eyes looked directly into Soyokaze's light brown ones as they spoke.

"Asahina-san. Stop apologizing. I've already said I'm not going to eat you, at least not eat you before having dinner together first, and I'm not some sort of evil Imperial out here to try and destroy your family because you looked at me wrong. Take a breath." Their words were soft, but firm. They might not use their Imperial powers for evil, but it seemed Unsei had at least taken one class in how to seem commanding.

Then they took a step back and smiled widely. "I'm Seppun Unsei! It's good to meet you, Asahina-san."

Soyokaze did as instructed and took a breath trying to center himself. He tried to remember, this was not a place for endings but beginnings but not being [S]self-abasing[/S] deferential, especially in the face of an Imperial was hard.

"It is an honor to meet you Seppun-sama, I hope this day finds you well and that Inari has blessed you."

Unsei's smile grew when the Crane seemed to finally relax. If at least on the outside.

"I have indeed been blessed by Inari-no-kami. Rice with an egg yolk. The breakfast of champions. What of yourself? Certainly so given you being a weaponsmith and needing to keep your strength up."

They paused, reflecting on their stay so far. "The people have been interesting." And that was it. "What of yourself?"

"I as well enjoyed some tamagoyaki this morning, yes breakfast is important especially as I often forget to eat when I work."

They shook their head. "I don't talk to people who aren't interesting." They stated plainly, still smiling. "So, you are interesting, even if you don't find yourself to be, and I'm sure many others here will think the same of you as well."

Then they nodded some. "It's a good breakfast! Quick and easy, too. Hopefully you don't forget breakfast too often. Something about it being an important meal and all."

Suddenly Soyokaze understands what the Seppun had really been asking him.

"I have only meet Kaito Oubaihime-sama and yourselves here so far -sama at least among the other Miai participants. Kaito Oubaihime-sama gifted me with excellent conversation last night in the Inn's common room. Lord Shika-sama offered me a warm welcome and seems a wonderful lord and host."

There was a bit of a strained smile briefly, but it vanished soon after and became something much easier. They weren't sure what they had been trying to get at either, other than some conversation.

"Oh, well that's good to hear, Asahina-san. Though, you don't need to do so much sama-ing to me. My ego is large enough, thank you. Every sama goes straight to my head and inflates it just a bit more each time. Ah, but would you care for some mochi? I know it's a bit early, but it's honestly never too early for mochi."

Soyokaze froze for a moment, unsure what to do. "Th-Thank you Seppun Unsei-sa-sama." He said, wincing as he reached out with his personal chopsticks. You didn't refuse the gift AND ignored their request that you not use -Sama when addressing them? Double Failure. He managed to take a bit, considering it possibly to be his last meal. It was glorious, and it showed on his face. "Thank you very much for this, it's been a long time since I had something so sweet, it's wonderful." He resisted the urge to bow again and instead just smiled.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

After a bit, Murato seemed disappointed and started walking back. He is mumbling under his breath.

"Could have sworn that was something. I will need to try to communicate later... maybe it wanted to talk?"

The Kaito gave a sigh of relief when the Kitsu came out the trance. "Yokatta..." She whispered to herself. "Are you okay Kitsu sama?"

[Kitsu Murato]

"Yes. Just had an odd inkling. They happen from time to time. Comes with the territory of sensing spirits." He seemed okay, just a little distant in his expression.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"Sokkara... you had me worried... maybe we can work something out if the spirits wish to comune with both of us. I can work up a ritual for you." She offered.
