Quick as she was and momentarily stunned as he was he had no hope to Dodge the tackle. Her body crashing into his, pushing the new air he'd managed to get in his lungs right back out.

The big Otter almost kept his feet but winded as he was he was focused on getting breath back and so he tripped back having just enough time to prepare for the fall and land ready to guard should the Scoprion continue their fight once they ended up on the ground.

Unlike Tanabe, Luixian did not help him prepare for the fall in any other manner than holding the back of his head so it wouldn't slam into the ground. However once they stopped falling she moved her hand out from under his head and stood up.

Once up she offered him a hand up. "That flurry of yours is going to leave me with a few bruises. They were all good hits."

He took it with a grin lungs full of air again "Thanks, you obviously did well." He said with a chuckle "Well I had hoped to catch you off guard with a new style, thought you might have assumed you knew my style at that point. But you kept your wits about you. You fight smart and fast." He said approvingly.

"I was surprised and the hits I took hurt but we're both pretty sturdy. You've soaked a good few of my hits." She nodded. "Plus I got a lucky hit anyway and with an elbow at that."

Tanabe chuckled a little "Nah I doubt there was anything lucky about it. You just waited and found your opening." He said with a smile

"Yeah with a bit of training you'd be an hand to hand fighter. Glad I could see your style, I think I learned quite a bit today." He said with a wide andopen smile

"And I did as well. I'll have to try out that flexible stance you took earlier. Never used it much myself but it looks to hold more than I first realized." She nodded. "It's been.. fun."

Tanabe raised his eyebrows with a mischievous grin "Well Well looks like there's more than just a prickly sour Scorpion under that mask." He said teasingly and then laughed a little.

"I had fun too, hopefully we can hang out some more before this whole thing ends."

"I know you can't see it but I'm rolling my eyes underneath this mask." Her words were mirthful to a point. "Were we not planning to see about a mutual bathtime tomorrow so you could see my other tat? That I would count as hanging out."

"Well it seems the mask is a double edged sword then because being told someone is rolling their eyes has far less impact than seeing it." He said with a cheeky grin.

"And that's fair, I wasn't sure if those were firm plans or just something you mentioned. I'll look forward to it then." He finished with a wide smile "for now I should probably head out though. Have a few other things that need taking care of today."

He gave the Bayushi a bow "see you tomorrow then Bayushi-sama!"

Underneath the mask she rolled her eyes again with a smile on her lips though hidden away.

"Fortunes be with you Susaki-san." She answered before bowing.
