[Susaki Tanabe]

A grin on his lips as she danced away that sort of light flitting was outside of his area of expertise but he did continue his assault. As soon as she separated he was back on her relentless as the wave he surged forward again. He dipped low looking to catch her leg this time.

[Bayushi Luixian]

She had managed to dance and glide out of most of them but the sudden surge from him combined with the low blow to her leg caught her. Like a wall she came crashing down heavily but within moments was back up again and ready to go.

[Susaki Tanabe]

"You move well Bayushi-sama." Tanabe said with a touch of mirth through his grin. He was clearly enjoying the exercise briefly moving back as she recovered.

This time he hung back staying light in his stance and waited for her to attack. Curious how she would behave as the aggressor.

[Bayushi Luixian]

"As do you, Susaki-san. Keeping me on my toes." The words were wrapped with minor amusement as they were expelled from beneath the wooden mask. When he waited for her she bounced back and forth briefly before moving in as swift as the air. Like him she tried to dance around behind him looking for an opening.

[Susaki Tanabe]

kami she's fast he thought with a fierce grin on his lips. He knew he wouldn't be able to out manuever her, water is scattered by the wind, turned into spray. However Earth endures.

As she got around him he shifted just a little and flattened his stance hunkering down solidly and lowering his center of gravity to be difficult to move or knock over and decided to try to withstand her attack.

[Bayushi Luixian]

She grit her teeth when he shifted stances. As strong as the wind was it took too long to take down a mountain. That did not mean she didn't try. With the usual tactics of the Scorpion she flittered around with a grace unusual for her size and went in for a blow on his left side but at the last second she dropped down and tried to get his leg the same way he did to her.

[Susaki Tanabe]

Hey blow was strong but with her focusing on speed there was no way she could properly set herself before she struck to get the full power of her body behind it. Where as Tanabe had hunkered down entirely, it connected and he certainly felt it but faced the pain with a stoicism and weathered the blow only shifting a little and taking the chance as she connected to try to grasp the limb which struck him.

[Bayushi Luixian]

It was a bad move on her part and she knew it. Rather than waiting and disengaging she went in for the attack and was caught. All of her speed meant little when faced against someone more skilled but that didn't stop her from wiggling around and trying to get out of his grasp.

[Susaki Tanabe]

Ahh but this was what he had trained for, sumai was what Tanabe had lived for over five years. With her in his grasp he moved quickly and surely. Like a rockslide he shifted and got a hand on her waist fastened to her hakama. From here it was simple enough to attempt a slam that would send them both to the mat with Tanabe on top. Unless the Scorpion had anymore tricks up her sleeve.

[Bayushi Luixian]

Luixian was not above ripping out of her hakama if it allowed her to win a fight but she didn't. Not this time. What instead happened was she prepared herself for the slam and took it. Waiting for what his next move would be as she allowed herself a moment to rest after the slam.
