Having done particularly poorly in the previous day's archery competition, Shiba Taemon returned to the dojo. Seeing it occupied, he did not seek the bow, but instead took up one of the dojo's practice spears to work on his kata. He did offer a squint, a frown, and a bow to the two already training.
