Nesshin dodges backwards, pivoting around one of the pillars holding up the ceiling, springing off of it and using the momentum and a forward roll to gain more distance to regain his footing--and, like the leaping deer, he seems to change direction suddenly, coming back at Raizo, once again aiming for his legs and feet.
