Yoshi limbers up, stretching and taking a few practice swings as he looks at the mountain of a man in front of him.

"Are you ready Susaki-san"

A mountain he may be but a friendly one at that the Otter smiles as he bows to his opponent "I am ready when you are Kasuga-san." The Otter says as he settles down into a flexible and balanced stance.

He remembered the Suzume's story from earlier and smiled feeling energized and fluid "Come now Kasuga-san! Let's give these people a show!" He exclaimed leaning a bit into the showmanship he sometimes used for sumai as he twirled the bokken and tucked it into its sheath ready for the duel

Tanabe narrowed his eyes a bit and focused on the Turtle. The Otter new he was fast and thought to end the match in a single blow but the tortoise was able to dance out of the way of his strike easily. Though Tanabe recovered quickly and didn't look too foolish.

But perhaps the Otter just didn't have the fire in him to quite touch the Tortoise but even if Yoshi was able to just barely avoid the bokken it must have been slightly terrifying the force and speed the wooden weapon passed him with.
