He wasn't familiar with his partner. Even after a week, Edogawa wasn't familiar with most of the samurai here. This sort of interaction was not what he was used to. Normally, he greeted and spoke with visiting diplomats and dignitaries, assisting them as a representative of Shiro Kitsuki. He was not accustomed to representing himself. Finding someone to "harmonize" with was an unexpected and difficult challenge for Edogawa. He was fortunate to find someone else still searching for a partner.

The Dragon attempted to start with a small flute, but was unable to form a proper melody.
