[Shosuro Hikimasu]

Hikimasu had heard a particular Bayushi was headed out from the Inn, and so he decided to try and catch up, as there were suddenly questions the Shosuro had. He rushed, knowing she was probably going for lunch, and went to wait for her at the garden, as the soft rain seemed to ask everyone to cut through it to keep from getting too damp.

Of course, despite speeding about with the power of fear of love, he still understood that what he was doing wasn't a great idea. He wondered if Minae knew Mitsuki-taisa, by Shosuro's veil, they might even be cousins...or sisters.

Maybe he should go back.

No, no...that was the mind killer speaking. He jogged a bit further until he came to the pond he'd spoken with Raizo the previous day, he could watch the path from there in relative concealment. Bayushi-san should be by any time.

[Bayushi Minae]

She wasn't terribly hard to spot. She was definitely a Scorpion in sunlight....well, if there was any sunlight. As the weather was still quite damp, her parasol and striking crimson and black kimono made her quite visible. She was walking in an unhurried pace to whomever she was going to go see next.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

Welp, here we go. Do your best, you idiot.

Hikimasu came out onto the path near her and bowed properly, he rose swiftly to keep pace with her as she walked.

"Bayushi-san, good afternoon", he said. "May I take some of your time?"

[Bayushi Minae]

She looked over at old creepy eyes.

"As long as you can do so while we continue walking." she said, not wanting to spend too much time with creepy.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

Hence the reason he fell instep with her. He was used to that, at least.

"While we are in the garden and nature surrounds us I cannot help but be overcome by the instincts of a man for a woman, such that it makes me ask my fair Bayushi-san if she has found interest in marriage among such fine candidates to be found at this miai."

That was proper, right? Perhaps too much so. Wait, that was actually creepy again wasn't it?

Minae rolled her eyes.

"Unfortunately for you, Shosuro-san, I have my eyes upon Seppun Yuzu, so I'm afraid we're never meant to be. But I've heard that the Deer can match anyone, so hopefully they are up to the monumental challenge that you present." she said dismissively.

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"Seppun Yuzu-sama, eh?" He committed that to memory. "I can see that going well for you."

And I feel terrible for the boy, but hopefully you won't be aware when he becomes a man.

"And too bad for me, i suppose. I'll have to settle it seems. Have any others made their intentions toward you known?"

[Bayushi Minae]

"Seppun Yuzu-sama, eh?" He committed that to memory. "I can see that going well for you."

And I feel terrible for the boy, but hopefully you won't be aware when he becomes a man.

"And too bad for me, i suppose. I'll have to settle it seems. Have any others made their intentions toward you known?"

Minae smield a that.

"My my, making a list are we Shosuro-san?" she said. "I'm sorry, but I don't think any of my secondary choices are a good fit for you. They prefer someone whose more...."

She paused a moment.

"...well, not you."

He shrugged. "Thinking of others is a Shosuro's job in many ways", he told her. "Not that I'm interested in them for myself, but surely you've had a number of others seeking your attention."

A beat as they walked.

"Besides, there is another Seppun, now isn't there?"

[Bayushi Minae]

"And even they have a suitor already. IF you've got imperial ambitions, Shosuro-san, you'll need to step up your game." she teased.
