(D1, LE) Musical Evening

[Kitsu Murato]

He nods and smiles looking down to the strings, performing two bars of a simple, gentle paced scale for warm up.

"Something to get the fingers limbered up," he says, looking to Emiko.

There was a nod, and the Otter woman brought her flute up, playing a slow scale along in tune with Murato. Looking at the Kitsu as she did so.

[Kitsu Murato]

He repeats the scale once before tilting his head, letting her take the lead. As she looked at him, she found their eyes meeting, his not shying. There was a good chance he may have trained away any sense of embarrassment.

The Otter matched his gaze, not showing any embarrasment as she was clearly focused on performing. Taking over the lead, she began to direct the tune towards a song she learnt when she was younger. A simple and easy to follow tune, but one that felt fitting for the garden.

Following along, the Lion plucked gingerly, not overpowering the flute focused piece. As he head no need to use his mouth, he occupied it with a pleasant smile. It was likely not the accompaniment she was used to but he, seemed to have found a place for himself in the song that fit well. In fact, the spot he had picked in the garden, the fact that he had chosen to follow her lead and even the way he played seemed to suggest an understanding of where he belonged and a comfort with being there.

Although she was focusing, Murato could see a smile starting to grow on her face. She was clearly enjoying herself as she kept going with the music. Only taking brief moments to quickly get her breath between parts. Emiko was clearly a natural performer, and perhaps more surprisingly a natural leader, at least in the arts. she knew how to lead and adjusted to match Murato quickly without making him change too much.

As the song came to an end, the smile was even more visible. Even in her eyes you could see she was happy.

He bowed his head, without dropping eye contact. "That was a lovely choice. I wasn't familiar but I did like it. Similar to a tune I know from back home but definitely different."

His smile widens. "What else do you got?"

There was a chuckle.

"Is that a challenge, Kitsu-sama?"

[Kitsu Murato]

"I'm probably not up to it with someone who is as skilled as you, but I'm not afraid to try," he replied with a smirk. "Don't be too gentle, I'm not opposed to you roughing me up a bit."

[Usogawa Emiko]

There was a small laugh, then a nod.

"As you wish Kitsu-sama."

She took a breath, then brought her flute up to begin playing a slightly more complex tune.
