"That's the ironic part, my trade leads to yours. I'm only really interested in weapons for their beauty, I wanted to be a more traditional artisan but my father demanded that if I couldn't become a shugenja and wasn't right for the duties of a courtier I had to do something "useful". I kind of lucked into my calling but you seem to have been born for yours." He flexed a his fingers and rolled his wrists a few times to prove his point.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"I was... like you some people have expectations for this one. Like the archery competition this morning... I should be able to hit all the targets but I only hit 3..." She sighed. "I have followed my path since I can't remember mother tells me stories about how I help many children from bullies." She giggled.

[Asahina Soyokaze]

"The expectations of others can be a curse for sure as can the expectations we place on ourselves. I cannot speak for others but I never expected perfection from you in the archery competition but without knowing anything about your training I knew you had it within you to excel at it and you did. I had faith in your abilities and it was personally rewarding to see you do so well. So much is demanded of us, by others and ourselves, but I think it's important for us to recognize and embrace our successes."

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"Hai..." She nodded. "Arigatou Asahina san." The Kaito smiled. "Tomorrow will be fun, I promise." She extended her pinky finger hopefully the Asahina would know how the ritual goes.

[Asahina Soyokaze]

Soyokaze extended his pinky and looped it around hers. "So do I." He kissed the back of his hand while they were linked. "and I promise to stop heaping expectations on you if that's what I've been doing and remind you when you are being to hard on yourself."

The Kaito smiled. "Thank you... hai." She let go.
