"Like Shosuro herself may have imagined it", he nodded, clearly dead inside (pleased). "And yes relax, sake can help that but social situations have their own weight they place on you. Someone can show up for fun and experience anything but it."

He sighed in relief of the Shosuro's acceptance of the sketch then considered their words. Multiple replies crossed his mind before he settled on saying "A samurai's duty is never complete." and after a pause "What do you do to relax?"

"I read books, go for a ride on my horse...lately I've been practicing the shakuhachi, I also play go, shogi, kemari", he said. "Surely you play games."

"I have been taught to play several games though I am not very good at any of them. The only think I truly have any skill at is this and even that is far from masterful. I have attended most of the plays but I haven't really liked any of them. I cannot play an instrument, which is proving to be a great weakness here as many are." he sighed "I am at a loss, my upbringing was clearly different from most here, when I committed to the forge i was driven to that in exclusion of most other things. I'm not even sure what I would like to learn how to do, most bushi activities are too violent for my tastes even if they do win much respect and praise."

"Well do you even like music?" he asked. "It doesn't sound so much like you want to learn to do those things, but you simply want the recognition others are getting."

The Scorpions words bit deep. "Hai, I admit, I do. I find all of this difficult, all of it, and I cannot help but compare myself to others especially Asahina Bo." he refilled their tea once again. "Kaikoga Koi-san told me I need to believe I myself and i am trying, even succeeding at times, but I have no idea how to make others believe in me or even talk to me. I keep going places to try and meet people and I just stand there not knowing what to do..." He sighed before looking up into the Shosuro's eyes and suppressing a shudder. "I am sorry Shosuro Hikimasu-sama, I should stop burdening people with my troubles it is unbecoming of me. Needless to say I find myself very much outside my element."

And I think i have it rough, clearly this young samurai has been betrayed by a parent, perhaps their sensei, perhaps both. Words cutting deep, often with knuckles to back them up.

"Worry about it if you like, but it'll simply chase you in a circle. For now, you can do good work for me, and know it's making someone happy."

"Good", he said with a returned bow. "I'll drop buy tomorrow with some other details if that's fine. Or if you'd like we can meet anywhere."
