For the second time in two weeks, the Sparrow decides to take a walk around the market. He finds some of the offers quite interesting, and even considers he maybe should go ahead and try to put something together for... someone. But could he?

And could he afford the materials?

He went from one store to another, looking at things and thinking, completely silent...

Wandering the food-related stalls was Narumi, looking at what all was available, and drumming fingerpads on her lower lip, deep in thought.

Seeing the Otter after a while looking at some materials for Origami, a familiar face slowly makes his way closer and bows to her. "Konbanwa, Usogawa-san. How does the day find you? You put up a valiant effort this morning, ne?", she'll hear from a friendly voice.

"Oh, Suzume-san! Ohayo!" A smile grows at sight of the other minor clanner, and Narumi gives a small bow. "Thank you, but I hardly did anything, hopefully my swift defeat aids Kitsu-san honourably. And yourself? How did you match go?"

"Oh, it was an honourable defeat, Usogawa-san", he adds, nodding. "And there's much to learn in each one of those, ne?"

He continues in a friendly, thoughtful voice (even more so as I'm still waiting on an answer there!)

"The match with Shika-san was a challenging one! He's more talented than he himself knows, I'd say!"

A look at the food stalls Narumi is looking at, and he turns to her again. "All in all, though, I was happy to see the Minor Clanner's efforts today. I'm no specialist, although my sensei drilled some interest in me, and... " he lowers his head, his face blushing only slightly before he shakes it off and looks back at her.

"It's as the story goes, though, ne? "

And a story he tells, finishing with a moral that's somewhat like: 'The smallest of creatures are as important as others in what they do... and sometimes, when they act together, they may stand stronger than even mighty beasts."

"But changing topics... well, slightly! Has Usogawa-san have... expectations for the Shika's decisions yet?"

This one further hopes the Deer remember with fondness Asahina-san and how he has excelled at their challenging events, and are amenable to increased relations with his clan."

Senseki nods at her words with the same calm, friendly expression as before. "Oh! I do hope the Deer's methods will see the same harmony Usogawa-san and Asahina-sama have found, then. I assume Usogawa-san is expecting to join Asahina-sama's clan, then?"

As he says that, he seems to notice something, and some curiosity seems to show on his eyes. "Ah... I wonder if that would change Usogawa-san's take on the art of Nakado in the future, then? Adding some of how the Crane take to the art?"

"Uh, no, actually," Narumi blinked, but held that smile in place and tilted her head lightly. "We discussed that he might find his way on the River of Gold with the Otter? But I'm of the same mind, once I take to my own way of practicing matchmaking outside that of my aunt... I've been intrigued by the Deer's methods, and Crane are friends with Otter, so I'd do well to seek what methods they might use, as well, to add to my own."

"Ah!", the Suzume answers, apparently somewhat surprised, but... perhaps pleasantly so. "Well, the Crane being friends with the Otter does make it all easier, then, of course, ne?"

A serene, contained smile, but then there seems to be some excitement behind it.

"Perhaps our meetings here may help ups establish some closeness in the future as well, ne? Between the Otter and the Sparrow, I mean. I'm not sure I'll ever have the chance to visit your lands, but what I hear from you and your clansmates makes me hope I may get that chance at some point."

"We don't have lands," she corrects the Sparrow with a friendly tone. "Ehime Toshi, the um.. the closest thing Otter have to a centralized holding, is a cluster of permanently-anchored riverboats and barges floating at the center of the Lake of Cherry Blossom Snow."
