[Matsu Ishioka]

With the blessing of Shika Pei Pei-sama and a little help from some friends, Matsu Ishioka had prepared Uguisu's for a kind of party in the later evening hours. Word had been spreading about a "second chance to meet your one" or some such idea, and on arriving anyone would see the bar arranged with a couple of differences from the usual.
A small space was set aside for musical performance if the mood struck and another space had a variety of foods set out for attendees to partake in as they chose. Whether it was a certain kind of incense or the work of some shugenja, the energy in the room was turned to positive and comfortable so people could find new connections, perhaps where tension or anxiety had blocked them before.

Ishioka himself was standing near the door to observe when people arrived, but he was only coming up to greet them if they seemed hesitant and needing a wing to shelter under. He'd spoken to most of his fellow participants at least in passing by now, and the Lion that was called the Stone Matsu seemed to have come out of his shell in encouraging people to come, to have a drink, and to not be shy if they needed help with an introduction or two. The look on Ishioka's face tonight was not stone but a soft pride. This is good. We can do this.

[Kitsuki Edogawa]

Edogawa found himself a space to stand, where he could watch as others arrived. He didn't know what he was watching for, but hopefully he'd figure that out this time. As he waited, he absently toyed with the yo-yo he carried.

[Bayushi Luixian]

While they were still heavily in the middle of a prank war Luixian continues to take into account Unsei's pushing them into things. What the Seppun didn't say was what exactly this was. Luixian was under the impression that this was a sake party but the atmosphere said otherwise.

"What exactly is this, Matsu-san?" She asked as she approached him in her typical finery. Mask firmly in place.

The look on Ishioka's face tonight was not stone but a soft pride. This is good. We can do this.

"Matsu-san! The Night's Promise sends its regards and gifted us this."

He placed a crate of Yume Do brand sake on a suitable space, its weight announcing with the sound that one might hear when meeting fully armoured heavy infantry. He pulled out a couple of bottles, placing them by the drinks before taking one for himself.

[Seppun Unsei]

Unsei had... also shown up alongside Luixian, but not too close to her. In fact, there were yards between them. Luixian was fast and Unsei knew the viper could turn around and snap their twig-like neck at any time.

When they noticed that Moshu was there, they kind of stopped for a moment, blinked, but then quickly looked away before scuttling just a foot closer in Luixian's direction.

"It's... um... it's sort of like a sake party, but for... um... single people... nothing more than that, Bayushi-san." They muttered, trying to cover their ass just a bit more.

The Matsu, knowing what his friend is likely to think, adjusts his sales pitch for her specifically.

"A good opportunity to drink, covered by just enough miai-related interaction to have gotten Shika Pei Pie-sama's seal of approval," he said smugly. I probably owe Narumi one for this. No idea how she did it. "So have a good drink or two, take the mask off for a while before you go back to intimidating people," he suggests, gesturing to the main bar to start her in the right direction. "There are people who want to meet you, but I can hold them off a while," he says kindly, trying to ease her into things.

"And Seppun-sama, so good to see you again," he sus with a kind smile and a "Don't worry, I'll watch her," look in his eye.

"Just direct people who don't find people to the house and all should be well."

The bigger Lion gives a snort of laugher, claps his cousin on the shoulder without too much force, and smiles at him as he turns back to managing the room.

The mask turned to look between Ishioka and Unsei. Back to Ishioka where it stayed.

"I don't take off the mask." Several pauses later. "There better not be anyone who wants to meet me either. I specifically stayed away from this debacle for that reason. Everyone should already have their sight on someone else by now. It's nine days into this shit." Her tone wasn't necessarily rude and did lean more towards friendly joking but there was a serious undertone to it like so much of her joking did.

She bowed to Ishioka -ignoring Unsei in their entirety- and then headed towards the sake bar.
