There's a dry chuckle at the idea of being here to bleed out. It's... particularly unsettling coming from the mild-mannered Phoenix. Ishioka pauses and looks at her thoughtfully for a time, the hand on the shoulder entirely forgotten.

"Ah, to heal. Yes, surely," he says, sounding more unsettled now than she's seen him. He looks toward his sake cup and realizes he'd never asked for one for her. The Lion waves for a server's attention and gets ready to ask for another cup, unless the Phoenix requests something else.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

The Kaito sighed. She took the drink. "This may bring a short term remedy but what would be the next time it will bleed. When will it bleed again?" She frowned

[Matsu Ishioka]

The Lion looks sheepish. "Um. Well... Would Kaito-san believe that wound is on the path to healing if this one were considering, kami willing, a Dragon bride from this miai?"

The image of the stony bushi seeming almost to be asking permission of the kind shrine maiden is no doubt an entertaining contrast for those in the bar to see it.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"Good... If it brings you happiness it would be a joyous and fortunate encounter." The priestess smiled. "I hope the best for your wound to be healed by the kindness I see in the people around here." She sipped her drink. Not a usual drinker of sake the poor woman.

[Matsu Ishioka]

Ishioka seems visibly relieved by Oubaihime's agreement.

"Certainly nothing is settled so early in a miai, but... It would not be an unpleasing option," he says, managing expectations. "I think you are right, though, that there are so many good people here. Clearly the Deer are as illustrious in who they bring together as advertised," he says, raising his cup toward the Kaito. "Shall we drink to our hosts and the good fortune they'll bring to all of us," he asks with a smile.

"Hai... To good friends and good wives." She rose her cup. "And husbands." The Kaito giggled. "Kampai!"

[Matsu Ishioka]

The Lion drinks, and grins at the Phoenix's giggle.

"Yes, please don't make men have to beat out the samurai-ko too to win your hand, Kaito-san," he says, smiling but also serious.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"Your are to have a nice wife... and this one a nice husband" She nodded. "It is nice to see you smile."

[Matsu Ishioka]

"Likewise, Kaito-san. Your smile is most heartening," he says, looking genuinely relieved at her approval. How does she do that?

"And do you feel, ah, on a good path to a good husband? It is difficult to know, of course, until the nakodo make decisions, but... I think there can be signs that are promising or not?"

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"I think so Matsu sama but these tests are really hard." She sighed. "I don't know how well it will go with this one." She closed to his ear and whispered. "I think lady Pei Pei doesn't like me that much." then Oubaihime giggled.
