He nods at that. "So... how insane are we talking? Like... am I better or worse with my ghost talking? A lot of people find that offputting."

"Have you ever gathered together a bunch of total strangers to try and give another total strangers a religiously-driven pep talk within five minutes of meeting them?"

"Nooo..." he says squinting his eyes. "I have done stranger things, but that is because sometimes strange things have to be done to appease or banish unique spirits."

"I'm a Phoenix. I've seen shugenja do weird things since I can recall. None of it compares."

Murato nods. "Well, to be fair... a religious pep talk would not really bother me. Not really. I'll have to see about meeting her."

Bring a sacrificial distraction. Or maybe something shiny to throw past her face when you run.

"Well. More power to you. She's easy enough on the eyes."

He nods at that. "I've dealt with spirits that have likely been at least a little worse. If she's easy on the eyes she likely doesn't smell too bad either. Nothing worse than a spirit that smells like a corpse following you around for weeks."

Raizo- who, thanks some nasty hill fighting that had dragged out over three weeks of brutal search and destroy, knew exactly what a corpse smelled like- had to nod in response.

"Smells a bit like incense, actually. Very, er... devout."
