"I think that's more of a war cry that's expected. Crying in pain doesn't often lead to adrenaline rushes in my opinion. The pain already does that. The crying doesn't. However we're taught to scream on the Wall in pain so the rest on guard would know that there's an attack being launched. Just goes to show the difference between the Crab and the rest of the clans."

"It's necessary for a medic to know if someone's been hurt so that's not bad. Might be an older thing. The not crying out in pain I mean." She said now trying to figure out where she had gotten that from.

"Also tools to unnerve the enemy. I've heard that in lands far from here they use whistles that sound like the screams of the dead to terrify their enemies before battle. To shake them up. In other places they use chants and dances to accomplish the same."
