Dressed up in her best attire, Inoshishi takes a deep breath to steady herself. She’s heard that there’s a hidden depository of lore behind this door. And while she has no desire to take what isn’t given, she’s hopeful a story or two can be told or exchanged.
Steeling her courage, she taps three times on the door, stowing her mushroom pouch and putting on her most professional smile. She carried with her a scroll bag, filled with stories she may be able to trade.

One of the many guards of the kyuden answered the door.
"Ah, my apologies Agasha-san. This part of the castle is off-limits to the guests. If you're looking for reading material, there are plenty of booksellers in the market." they offered with a nod of the head. It did not do to bow when one was guarding. Offering for an intruder to take your head was one they'd likely accept.
Behind the guard, the Dragon could make out the vast space brimming with a multitude of stories crying out to be read.

“I appreciate the recommendation,” she greets him properly, but player doesn’t know if this is a heimin or samurai guard. “But…”
She bows as appropriate. She’s not worried about a slash of a blade. What thief knocks?
“I’ve already read all of the books of things that actually happened. And while I like plays and such as much as the next samurai, I prefer the real stories, the history.”
She holds up her bag of stories.
“I’m prepared to share some or all of these stories, many of which aren’t known outside of certain villages or small regions, for a few stories of truth. Who can I talk to about doing that?”
She smiles sunnily.

The guard who was a samurai, after all who used peasants to guard clan secrets, considered the offer.
"Hmm, you would have to speak with Shika-dono about that." he admits. "Most people happily donate such stories. After all, you would not want your match to come up short because a vital scroll was in your bag unreead, would you? But many such donations are made with the assurance that the information is only used for the purposes of match-making, so I'm not sure how likely Shika-dono is to agree to 'trading' with you."

Inoshishi nods.
“Thanks! I’m hoping that my interest in older stories will assist in my hopes! No one who is living features in my story, and very often their families have vanished into the mists of time! Or the mists of the Kitsu, at any rate.
I will seek out Shika-Dono.”
She bows, then looks up, debating flirting with the guard.

The guard nodded.
"Carry the Fortunes, Agasha-san." he offered, unsure of what value she thought extinct lineages could carry, and closing the door.

She waves and wanders off, momentary interest forgotten.
How to arrange a meeting with Shika-dono…that’s a question for later.
